Identifying relevant location determinants is a good starting point for shop operators, help to increase profitability and, thus, avoiding business failure. Traditional Analytic Hierarchy Process ...(AHP) or the Analytic Network Process (ANP) have shortages that require improvement. Herein, Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL), ANP based on DEMATEL (DANP), and modified Vlse Kriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (modified VIKOR) are used to construct a hybrid multiple-attribute decision making (MADM) model, encompassing three dimensions and thirteen criteria in exploring the location determinants of Asia’s unique Bubble Tea Shops (BTSs) and to evaluate three preselected alternatives in Nanjing, China. The empirical findings of the DEMATEL method reveal that traffic traits (D1) and site traits (D2) are critical to BTSs, and that once these are enhanced, shop traits (D3) are also improved. Criteria deemed as important, based on the DEMATEL and DANP methodology, are (in descending order): proximity to a street corner (C2), proximity to public transportation systems (C1), road width (C3), proximity to communities (C5), proximity to commercial areas (C6), types of shop (C9), and proximity to schools (C7). Different decision-making rankings among alternatives are indicated based upon the modified VIKOR method and corresponding strategies for improvement are presented.
Hospitality brand management is a primary concern in the hotel industry and the evaluation of brands can be considered as a decision-making problem with multiple criteria. The q-rung orthopair fuzzy set (q-R.O.F.S.), which represents the preference degree of a person from the positive and negative aspects, has turned out to be an efficient tool in depicting uncertainty and vagueness in the decision-making process. This article dedicates to presenting an integrated multiple criteria decision-making method with q-R.O.F.S.. Firstly, a score function of the q-R.O.F.S. is proposed to solve the deficiencies of two existing score functions. Then, a weight-determining method based on the additive consistency of the preference relation is developed. A decision-making method integrating the score function, the best worst method and the VIsekriterijumska optimizacija I KOmpromisno Resenje (V.I.K.O.R.) which means multiple criteria compromise optimisation in English) method is further proposed. Finally, a case study regarding the hospitality brand management is provided to show the applicability and validity of the proposed method.
As a critical component in green supply chain activities, green supplier selection modelled as the typical multicriteria group decision-making (MCGDM) problem, has received tremendous attention both ...from scholars and practitioners. This article aims to advance an integrated approach for precisely addressing this urgent problem under Pythagorean fuzzy (PF) scenario. Firstly, analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is utilized for computing criterion weights that comprehensively reflect the intention of decision makers (DMs). Secondly, extend the Vise Kriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) to PF scenario, and apply the newest magnitude comparison method and distance measure of PF sets in the <inline-formula> <tex-math notation="LaTeX">L_{p} - </tex-math></inline-formula>metric equation to accurately acquire the ranking indices, then obtain the different ranks of candidates along with the adjustment of DM's preference value to balance the group utility and individual regret. Thirdly, median ranking method (MRM) is employed to reach a consensus opinion for the differentiated ranks of candidates via the attribute-wise rank and linear programming model. Subsequently, a numerical example for an agri-food company in China is introduced to illustrate the feasibility of our AHP-VIKOR-MRM method. Finally, conduct the comparison with some available MCGDM methods with PF information to interpret the stability and practicability of our presented method.
The realization of sustainable social rental housing is regarded as an important policy to solve the housing burden, but social rental housing is often unsustainable. This study assesses the ...sustainability of social rental housing. However, the decision-making models, such as the classical decision-making hierarchy (AHP) used in the current study, conflict with the resolution of the complex influence of the relationship between evaluation dimensions/criteria. Based on this, we construct a new hybrid multi-attribute decision-making model (MADM) combining the Fuzzy Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL), Fuzzy DEMATEL-based analytic network process (DANP) and the modified VIseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) method for the sustainability assessment of government-led social rental housing (SRH) using Taiwanese experts as the subject of the investigation. The Fuzzy DEMATEL found that economic sustainability (D1), as the core dimension, affects environmental (D3) and social sustainability (D2). Furthermore, criteria with the “cause” position, including the reasonable development model (C2), the provision of living facilities and services needed (C5), the adoption of environmentally friendly technology and equipment (C10), guaranteed rent and lease (C1), the acquisition of working skill and employment opportunities (C6) and space planning and design (C3), should receive more attention from decision makers because improving these can further enhance the sustainability of the overall scheme. Combined with the DANP weight and modified VIKOR, we also indicate that these criteria should be optimized to make the evaluation more sustainable for a selected social housing case in Taiwan. The research also further proposes management strategy implications.
The developed multi-criteria decision analysis model was used to identify the inter-influence relationships and key factors affecting the EBP competencies of UNSs, to assess the EBP competencies of ...UNSs and based on these results, to formulate an improvement strategy to enhance the EBP competencies of UNSs.
EBP is considered a core competency in international nursing practice. However, few studies have developed EBP evaluation models and applied them to assessing and improving the EBP competencies of UNSs.
This is a quantitative study with multi-criteria decision-analysis model.
Firstly, the questionnaire was designed based on the characteristics of the DEMATEL and VIKOR-AS methods, which was completed by 17 nursing experts from a case hospital in Zhejiang Province, China. Subsequently, the DEMATEL method was used to analyze the inter-influence relationships among various criteria to determine their respective weights. Finally, the VIKOR method is utilized to integrate multiple criteria and their relative weights to assign comprehensive scores to each UNSs.
The use of the DEMATEL method reveals that “Knowledge (C1)”, “Mastering the basic scientific research methods during the study of the undergraduate courses (C11)”, “Being able to consult clinical experts appropriately when encountering problems in clinical practice (C23)” and “Understanding the importance of reading journals related to the nursing profession regularly (C34)” were critical influencing factors. “Skill (C2),” “Being able to explain the essential roles of the best research evidence in determining clinical practice (C15),” “Being able to apply the collected research evidence to the individual case in nursing care (C25)” and “Paying attention to using the evidence-based nursing practice concept to determine the best clinical practice (C35)” were the most influential factors. According to the VIKOR method, the performance of the UNSs in the case hospitals in terms of EBP competencies from highest to lowest was Student C, Student B and Student A. However, all of these students suffered from deficiencies at the knowledge level.
The application of the DEMATEL and VIKOR methods provides a systematic and comprehensive approach to the assessment of EBP competencies of UNSs. The lack of EBP competencies of UNSs in case hospitals is mainly reflected in knowledge level. To improve UNSs’ EBP competencies, medical schools and hospital educators should propose short- and long-term strategies to improve knowledge.
Cilj je ovoga članka odrediti parametre optimizacije i geometrijskih poboljšanja u mikro geometriji svrdla od tvrdog karbida primjenom postupka pjeskarenja. Treba uzeti u obzir učinke pjeskarenja na ...oštricu i na mikro geometriju tijela alata. Taj postupak je jedan od najuobičajenijih postupaka u izradi alata od tvrdog karbida koji se primjenjuje na različite načine, ne uvijek s najboljim rezultatima. Mikro geometrijska optimizacija oštrice usmjerena je na dva važna parametra, polumjer oštrice i K-faktora centriranja, koji su od odlučujuće važnosti za vijek trajanja alata i parametre rezanja. Ovaj se postupak optimizacije može poboljšati i kombiniranjem s drugim poznatim postupcima čiji je cilj postizanje istog rezultata.
Intellectual capital today has become an essential concept for assessing firm value. Universities in Taiwan that are emphasizing knowledge more in order to gain a competitive advantage, as is the ...case with most organizations, are adopting intellectual capital to measure school performance as well. The objective of this study is to analyze the intellectual capital of universities based on indicators of innovation capital. After reviewing related literature and conducting in-depth interviews with experts in the field, the study extracts critical relevant dimensions and indicators of innovation capital that fit the characteristics of universities and then categorizes the main types of universities in Taiwan. The proposed analysis method is in accordance with the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) and with VlseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) methods. FAHP is used in determining the weights of the innovation capital indicators by educational experts; then, the rankings of the types of universities are determined by VIKOR, based on the result of the weights of indicators.

AbstractThe reconstruction of traditional cities as smart cities has received considerable global attention because of the availability of new technology and the emerging Internet of Things (IoT). An ...evaluation index system is required to accurately measure the main factors that influence the sustainable development of smart cities in the real world. Therefore, this study proposes the analysis of influential relationships among criteria in the galactic model using the decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL)-based analytic network process (DANP) method. An influential network relation map (INRM) is constructed to analyze relationships among indicators, after which the influential weights of the indicators are determined. An empirical case using the modified-vlsekriterijumska optimizacija i kompromisno resenje (VIKOR) method, comparing the development of Chinese cities Weihai and Qingdao, is used to validate the method. The results indicate that performance gaps exist among dimensions and among criteria, and improvement strategies are proposed that would reduce the performance gaps of these two smart cities. This is achieved by prioritizing the factors that required improvement. The proposed method thus provides a useful reference for continuous improvement in sustainable development planning toward the best smart city.
