María Eugenia Ibarguren was born in Buenos Aires in 1939 and died in the same city in 1996. The life of this ordinary woman, who was married and was a member of Opus Dei, enables us to explore more ...general matters such as the acceptance and dissemination of the message of St. Josemaría Escrivá in the society of Buenos Aires.
This article studies the life story of Aurora Nieto Funcia, a woman who joined Opus Dei in 1945, in early years of Franco’s dictatorship in Spain. Her existence is interesting for three reasons, all ...of them related to the historical context in which she lived. The first is her personal and family situation: she studied to be a teacher and had to work to support her family financially, she managed a farm in Zamora and taught in an institution. Secondly, because she was a Catholic woman, very common in her time, and at the same time closely linked to Catholic Action, where she held positions of responsibility, who discovered and became convinced of the message transmitted to her by José María Escrivá, founder of Opus Dei. And the third, is the way in which Nieto Funcia understood what Opus Dei was and how she discovered that she too was called to this way.
The article covers the 1950-1961 timeframe of the institution’s development in Argentina through the St. Gabriel labors’ perspective. It counts the supernumeraries that joined the institution those ...years with a brief prosopographic survey centered in Buenos Aires and Rosario cities, where there were stable labor.
Theology as a branch of knowledge in Islamic studies , it’ s still a debate among Muslims . E specially in contemporary times. This article provides a resume of al-Imam al-Alusi's contribution, as ...commentator, to the theological discussions in his Magnum Opus: Ruhul-Maani. To achieve this, this paper examines his views on several theological issues selected in his attempt to interpret the verses of the Qur'an with the main aim of discovering the quality and suitability of his arguments and their conformity with the basic principles and sources of Islam. This paper aims to share information about its stance and provide clarification if needed. The findings reveal that al-Imam al-Alusi's theological discussion includes the views of the major Islamic sects; Sunnis, Shi'ites, Mu'tazilites, Ash'arites, among others and brought their own opinions. It is also established that theological differences arise from philosophical thought in defense of individual sects. It was also revealed that the divergence did not affect the fundamentals of Islamic theology.
Background: The microhardness of a composite resin is a vital parameter that is used to determine its clinical behavior. Measuring the microhardness of a composite resin has been used as an indirect ...method to assess its degree of conversion and extent of polymerization. The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the effect of three curing distances (0, 2, and 4 mm) on the microhardness of the top and bottom surfaces of three types of flowable bulk-fill composite resins (smart dentin replacement, Opus bulk fill flow, and Tetric N). Material and method: Sixty-three specimens from the three types of composite resins (n=21) were fabricated using Teflon mold with a 4mm depth and a 5 mm internal diameter and cured for 20 seconds. For each material, three subgroups were fabricated according to the position of the light curing tip from the top surface; at 0, 2, and 4 mm distances. Microhardness was measured using the Vickers test with a 50-g load for 15 seconds for the top and bottom surfaces of all the samples. Results: The microhardness values were decreased in the following order; 0mm > 2mm > 4mm curing tip distance, for both sides and Tetric N had the highest microhardness values. Significant differences in microhardness were recorded between the top and bottom surfaces for all the specimens (p<0.05). Conclusion: Increasing the distances between the tip of the light cure and the surface of flowable bulk-fill resins can significantly decrease the microhardness of the bottom surfaces compared to the top surfaces.
