The treatment of industrial waste constitutes an enormous challenge for Moroccan companies that have to comply with the regulations in force, specifically the Law 28-00 concerning waste disposal and ...management (2006). Boyauderie El Amal is among the companies striving to turn the challenge of waste management into an opportunity by composting the waste to enhance their operations' efficiency. This approach eliminates the need to pay for waste treatment at the Beni Mellal controlled landfill. In this context a hot composting experiment has been carried out in 2014 with a mixture of three waste fractions; guts 50%, manure 30% and dead leaves 20%. The experiment has shown that the resulting compost has a high-level organic substance content and a minor salt content that can be a healthy soil amendment. However, the experiment did not evaluate the compost mass evolution during 45 days of the mechanism. The main aim of this work tries to improve the performance of valorization by reducing the duration of composting, evaluating its economic efficiency (monitoring of mass), and improving the qualitative efficiency. To this effect, the feasibility study aims to rapidly compost a mixture of 50% underground guts waste and 50% manure over a period of 23 days. The results proved that the C/N rate and electrical conductivity of the compost obtained is above the limits requested by most standards. Moreover, the temperature recorded of the heap did not exceeded 39.53 °C at all days of composting. Nevertheless, the economic efficiency had reached 47.9%.
Objective: to determine the morphological and functional parameters of athletes-junior wrestlers, determining their specialization, qualification and training in ontogenesis. Materials and methods: ...49 male junior athletes of the school of Olympic reserve engaged in martial arts in the GrecoRoman style for 6-10 years were examined. We used the Dorokhov R.N. (1994) technique of selection and early orientation in sports to determine the anthropometric temporal characteristics. Following functional indicators were determined: absolute and relative physical performance, aerobic performance, power index eagerly, type of vegetative regulation. Results: the majority of fighters teenagers CMS had mesosomal, microcorpulent, micromesomelic, micromesic and mesomacromembral somatotype. A comprehensive study of the functional parameters of the wrestlers showed that indicators of absolute and relative physical performance were higher in young men CMS and were respectively 1318.6±149.5 kg∙m/min and 19.3±2.5 kg∙m/(min∙kg). Aerobic performance was higher in adolescents and first-rank sportsmen: 51.8±9.36 ml/(min∙kg). The strength indices of the hands were higher in the young men's CMS and contributed to 70.6±6.37% for the right hand and 66.08±12.1% for the left hand, which was explained by the component body composition of the body of young men. Most of the wrestlers revealed moderate parasympathicotonia and amphotonic. Conclusions: the R.N. Dorokhova and V.G. Petrukhina (1994) method of somatotyping allows to differentiate athletes, involved in martial arts in the Greco-Roman style, into 3 levels of variation: dimensional, component and proportion and to determine their specialization, qualification and degree of training in ontogenesis.
Objective: to determine morphological and functional characteristics of different states of fitness in adolescence rowers. Materials and methods: 21 men athletes aged from 14 to 16 years of school of ...the Olympic reserve of the city of Rostov-on-Don (RWAR) involved in rowing were examined. We used the Dorokhov R.N. technique of selection and early orientation in sports to determine the anthropometric characteristics. Following functional indicators were defined: power index of both hands, the absolute physical efficiency (APE) with the help of РWС170 test, type of vegetative regulation with the help of method of heart rate variability assessment. Results: adolescence rowers had macrosomy and micromembrane somatotype. When the condition of exercise was insufficient, the following parameters were revealed: micromesocorpulent and mesomuscular somatotype, low power index of the brush, a low value of APE, expressed vagotonic type of autonomic regulation. If the condition of exercise was satisfactory, micromesocorpulent and micromesomuscular somatotype, the average power index of the brush below the average value of APE, mild vagotonic type of autonomic regulation were registered. The highest condition of exercise was associated with microcorpulent and mesomuscular somatotype, the average power index of the brush, the average value of APE normotonic type of vegetative regulation. Conclusions: certain morpho-functional parameters as: somatotype, level of power and absolute index of physical work efficiency and autonomic regulation defined an inadequate, satisfactory or a higher state of fitness.
The publication discusses the possibility of using antioxidants to mitigate the effects of oxidative stress and increase physical performance in highly qualified athletes who specialize in rowing.
At our tertiary care cardiology center, we are receiving soldiers who sustained acute ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) during the strenuous Battle Field Efficiency Test (BPET) and other ...such activities.
This was a single-center observational study to assimilate and analyze the precipitating causes, risk factors, symptoms, and the efficacy of the management protocols in soldiers sustaining STEMI during the BPET or other forms of strenuous military training.
All 25 soldiers with documented STEMI following strenuous military training presented with chest pain as the primary symptom. 88% had symptoms either during or within 1st hour of the strenuous activity. 76% underwent thrombolysis with an angiographic success rate of 95%. Primary PCI was possible in only 3/25 (12%) of the cases, of which 2 (66%) did not require stenting after thrombus aspiration; 88% of soldiers reported “training for the event” for less than four times/week.
STEMI precipitated by strenuous unaccustomed military training have exclusively single vessel affection with an excellent response to thrombolysis and thrombus aspiration. Thus, the timely institution of pharmacological or mechanical revascularization therapy has dramatic results in the preservation of ventricular function. The lack of training for the strenuous event provides strong evidence for comprehensive, graded, physical training prior to strenuous military activities to prevent acute coronary syndromes.
The purpose of the research was to determine the physical and gestural state of students between eight and nine years of age in a Peruvian educational institution, as well as to provide Physical ...Education teachers with useful scales to evaluate what concerns physical abilities. and motor skills by age, from simple but validated tests, called Physical Efficiency Tests. It is a descriptive cross-sectional investigation. For this, the physical capacities resistance, strength, speed and flexibility were measured; managing to measure up to two capacities per session, also bringing together capacities that are directly proportional, such as resistance with flexibility and strength with speed. Population: 100% of the students participating in the study (95) distributed in 54 girls and 41 boys. For data collection, Microsoft Excel and SPSS v.25 were used. Conclusions: The results show that Peruvian Physical Education teachers do not have the necessary tools to know how much they can increase or decrease the internal and external loads of physical activity on their students. A deterioration in the conditional capacities and motor skills of the evaluated population is observed. Participating students are at levels of physical efficiency below expectations, especially those who are in the third and fourth levels.
Vitamin D deficiency amongst athletes and the general population seems to be a prominent problem. The most recognized role of vitamin D is its regulation of calcium homeostasis; there is a strong ...relationship between vitamin D and bone health. Moreover, its concentrations are associated with muscle function and immune response in both the general and athletic populations. Vitamin D level is strongly connected with the presence of VDRs (vitamin D receptors) in most human extraskeletal cells. Expression of multiple myogenic transcription factors enhancing muscle cell proliferation and differentiation is caused by an exposure of skeletal muscles to vitamin D. The aim of this review is to summarize current understanding of the significance of vitamin D on exercise performance and physical efficiency, as well to analyze the impact of vitamin D on multiple potential mechanisms. More high-quality research studies, considering free 25(OH)D as a better marker of vitamin D status, the baseline level of 25(OH)D and multiple pathways of vitamin D acting and usage in athletes are required.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between physical efficiency index (PEI) calculated by the Harvard step test and heart rate variation (HRV), and to identify parameters of ...HRV that can predict PEI in college students. Sixteen college students were partici-pated in this study and they were randomly divided into two groups; higher PEI group (HPEI, n=6) and lower PEI group (LPEI, n=10). To in-vestigate the relationship between PEI and HRV, we were measured HRV and Harvard step test. HRV test was the resting, immediately, 15 min and 30 min after the Harvard step test using electrocardiography device polyG-I. Relationship between PEI and HRV were determined Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis was performed for examining HRV parameters to predict PEI. As shown in the result, not only PEI was negatively correlated with root mean squared differences between adjacent normal RR intervals (RMSSD), but had a positive correlation with low-frequency/high-frequency, but also normalized low frequency (normLF), the ratio of LF, and RMSSD, the change in RR interval showed a significant difference at each time point of measurement according to PEI levels. But, there were no sig-nificant differences among the HRV variables except normLF and RMS-SD. Our findings suggest a critical information that PEI calculated by the Harvard step test can be used as an index to predict the autonomic nerve function, and high PEI may have a positive effect on changes in autonomic nerve activity during recovery after exercise intervention.
The aim of this study is analyze physical performance in Italian Serie A 2019-2020, after return to play post Covid-19, in the 20 club participants in the championship (n=567 players, age 27.2±1.1, ...value: 8.12 mln), to understand the causes of injuries that occurred during the last 12 match for the conclusion of the Serie A and variation in high intensity production. The analysis of physical performance is analyzed with SPORTVU OPTICAL TRACKING (STATS PERFORM, CHICAGO, USA) during each football match, from 27 match day (June 2020, after lockdown) to 38 match day (August 2020). Using a semiautomatic video analysis system that has incorporated new parameters able to measure physical efficiency ("Method for game analysis", patented in 2010, PCT/IB2010/002593, K-SPORT UNIVERSAL, MONTELABBATE, ITALY). At the same time we analyzed players absence from each match day for all teams (n=20), to better understand how many injuries the lockdown (3 and a half months) caused over time. Our research relates with a professional Top Level Championship, physical efficiency index and injuries occured during a post Covid-19 period. The championship was suspended due to the Covid-19 emergency on matchday 26 and restart from matchday 27a in June 2020. The percentage of absences due to injury by comparing matchday 27 (post lockdown) and matchday 38 (last season) has showed a statistically significant increase 26% (n=20; p<0.05). Negative correlations was found between PEI (Physical Efficiency Index) and number of injuries occured post lockdown respectively, (n=20, r = -0.25, p > 0.05). For the 2019-20 season there is a total number of absences equal to 2213; compared with the data of the last thirteen seasons , an increase of 6%, statistical meaningfulness, (n=20; p<0.05) is observed compared to the previous season (2018-19). Key performance indicators in this research not predict injuries and they have a low correlation with them. Future studies it's necessary to have more information on absence of injuires and their relation with performance and techinical/tactical game intelligence. Of course, PEI (Physical Efficiency Index), it's a good indicator of physical team condition.
