Purpose: to determine at the beginning of the preparatory period the initial level of physical and technical preparedness of football players born in 2006 of different youth teams in Kharkiv. ...Material & Methods: the study was conducted in August 2021. The con- tingent of the examined - athletes in the amount of 56 football players of the Children’s and Youth Football Club (FC) “Arsenal” in Kharkiv and the Youth Sports School No. 7 in Kharkiv, whose average age was 14,6 years. Technical and physi- cal indicators were determined that characterize the level of readiness of football players for the beginning of the competitive season. The following methods were used in the study: analysis of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogi- cal testing, methods of mathematical statistics. results: the work established statistically significant differences between technical indicators: in the test, running 30 m (with the ball) (p<0,05; t=2,18), throw-in (p<0,05; 2,88); in terms of physical preparedness, statistically signifi- cant changes were found in the tests “Illinois” (p<0,05; t=2,72), shuttle run 7x30 m (р<0,05; t=2,48), at the same time, the players of the FC “Arsenal” overcome the distance faster (р<0,05; t1=2,10; t2=2,05; t3=2,06; t7=2,15) on the first, sec- ond, third and seventh segments than the players of the Youth Sports School No. 7. In the endurance test of the shuttle run 5x30 m, the players of the FC “Arsenal” run faster (p<0,05; t=2,12) than the players of the Youth Sports School No. 7, while in the first and third segments the players of the Youth Sports School No. 7 are slower (p<0,05; t1=2,75; t3=2,05) overcome the distance than the players of the FC “Arsenal”. conclusions: analysis of special literature shows that the modern scientific and methodological base in the analysis of technical and physical preparedness in football has not been sufficiently studied in order to ensure the effective prepa- ration of young men for the highest sports achievements. As a result of the study, statistically significant differences were established in the indicators of physical and technical readiness between the football players of the FC “Arsenal” and the Youth Sports School No. 7 in Kharkiv. It was determined that football players born in 2006 have a low level of functional performance

Army body composition standards are based upon validated criteria; however, certain field-expedient methodologies (e.g., weight-for-height, body mass index BMI) may disqualify individuals from ...service who may otherwise excel on physical performance and military-relevant tasks. The purpose was to assess soldier physical performance and military-specific task/fitness performance stratified by BMI.
Cross-sectional observational study.
Male (n=275) and female (n=46) soldiers performed a wide-array of physical fitness tests and military-specific tasks, including the Army physical fitness test (APFT). Within-sex performance data were analyzed by BMI tertile stratification or by Army Body Composition Program (ABCP) weight-for-height (calculated BMI) screening standards using ANOVA/Tukey post-hoc or independent t-tests, respectively.
BMI stratification (higher vs. lower BMI) was associated with significant improvements in muscular strength and power, but also with decrements in speed/agility in male and female soldiers. Within the military specific tasks, a higher BMI was associated with an increased APFT 2-Mile Run time; however, performance on a 1600-m Loaded March or a Warrior Task and Battle Drill obstacle course was not related to BMI in either sex. Male and Female soldiers who did not meet ABCP screening standards demonstrated a slower 2-Mile Run time; however, not meeting the ABCP BMI standard only affected a minimal number (∼6%) of soldiers’ ability to pass the APFT.
Military body composition standards require a careful balance between physical performance, health, and military readiness. Allowances should be considered where tradeoffs exist between body composition classifications and performance on physical tasks with high military relevance.
Purpose: to establish the features and degree of interrelation of psychophysiological indicators and physical readiness among qualified wrestlers. Material & Methods: analysis of scientific and ...methodological information, generalization of best practical experience, psychophysiological methods of research, pedagogical testing, methods of mathematical statistics. Thirty qualified wrestlers took part in the research, at the age of 19–22. Results: the results of the study indicate the uniformity of the indices of simple and complex reactions, since the coefficient of variation lies in the range from 6,04% to 10,94%. The indicators of specific perceptions have a high coefficient of variation (from 15,56% to 48,82%), this is because specific perceptions more individually reflect the psychophysiological state of qualified wrestlers. Conclusions: it is determined that the most informative indicators of physical readiness are the tests of the wrestler's strength abilities, which have reliable connections with 11 psychophysiological indicators, followed by tests characterizing the strength endurance, with five statistically significant interrelations.

The aim of this study was to explore the readiness for physical activity (PA) and its related factors in patients with heart failure. This cross-sectional study included 163 patients with heart ...failure (mean age 66 ± 16, 50% female). The ability to safely engage in PA was assessed with the PA Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q). Psychological readiness was measured using two questionnaires, namely: Exercise Self-efficacy Scale and the Motivation for PA and Exercise/Working Out. A multivariate analysis of covariance was conducted to test the effect of background variables on readiness for PA. 64% (n = 105) of patients reported not being able to safely engage in PA, 80% (n = 129) reported low self-efficacy, and 45% (n = 74) were extrinsically motivated indicating external factors drove their motivation. Factors that positively influenced the PA readiness included lower age (p < 0.01), being male (p < 0.01), being married (p < 0.01), having higher education (p < 0.01), being in NYHA-class I compared with II (p < 0.01), less time since diagnosis (p < 0.01), lower BMI (p = 0.02), and not suffering from COPD (p = 0.02). Prior to recommending exercise, assessment of safety to engage in PA along with self-efficacy and motivation in patients with heart failure is essential.

The purpose of the work is to experimentally substantiate the development methodology of special physical and technical preparedness of female basketball players aged 13-14. Material and methods. ...Basketball players of Sports School №13 (age 13-14 years) took part in the experiment: experimental group (n = 18); control group (n = 18). The experiment was conducted in August 2018 for three months. Before and after the experiment, basketball players were tested for physical fitness (running 6 meters, shuttle running 2x28 meters, flexing their arms in the resting position, jumping rope), technical readiness (speed of defensive movements, throws from different distances, speed ball). To determine the psychophysiological state of the athletes of the experiment, psychophysiological indicators were recorded using the “Psychodiagnostics” computer program (the speed of a simple and complex reaction in various testing modes). To determine the speed of the motor hand was used the test "shifting chips." Results. A method of developing special physical and technical preparedness of basketball players has been developed and introduced into the training process of young basketball players. The technique includes doing exercises with a rubber band, exercises using unstable platforms, and running from non-standard starting positions. Revealed a significant (p<0.05) improvement of indicators in tests: the speed of defensive movements, shuttle run, high-speed ball dribble, throws from different distances of athletes from the experimental group compared to the control group. It was established a significant (p <0.05) difference in performance after conducting the experiment in tests: the speed of a simple and complex reaction and the motility of the hands of the athletes of the experimental group compared to the athletes of the control group. Conclusions. The positive effect of the experimental method on the level of physical, technical preparedness and psycho-physiological state of female basketball players aged 13-14 years is shown.
