Prispevek obravnava problematiko določanja kratkoročnih sprememb na flišnih klifih na slovenski obali s pomočjo dveh nizov podatkov letalskega lidarskega snemanja (z vmesnim razmikom treh let). ...Metoda se še razvija in se običajno uporablja v kombinaciji s terestričnim lidarjem. Na klifu med Fieso in Pacugom smo izvedli eksperimentalni poskus določanja kratkoročnih sprememb: največji delež razlik se je zgodil na steni klifa in abrazijski polici ter na osrednjem delu klifa, iz česar sklepamo, da je to najaktivnejši del klifa. Raziskava je pokazala, da je uporaba letalskih lidarskih posnetkov kljub določenim pomanjkljivostim lahko zelo uporaben pripomoček.
The stable isotopic composition of hydrogen and oxygen (δ2H and δ18O) and tritium activity (3H) have been monitored in monthly precipitation at Portorož airport meteorological station since October ...2000. Here we present a complete set of numerical data and a statistical analysis for the period 2000–2006. Seasonal variations of δ2H and δ18O were observed but are much less pronounced than for continental stations of the Northern Hemisphere. The weighted mean δ2H and δ18O values are -43 ‰ and -6.6 ‰, respectively. The relation between hydrogen and oxygen isotopic composition is expressed by the orthogonal Local Meteoric Water Line as δ2H = (8.05 ± 0.22) δ18O + (9.35 ± 1.55), and the temperature coefficient of d18O is 0.13 ‰/°C. The deuterium excess weighted mean value is 9.8 ‰ and shows some seasonal variations that reflect the variable influence of air masses of different origin (either Atlantic or Mediterranean). Tritium activity in monthly precipitation also showed seasonal variations, with a weighted mean value of 6.9 TU.
The 801 m deep artesian borehole Lu-1 in Lucija near Portorož (SW Slovenia) was drilled in 1994 on the coast. The borehole is constructed in flysch in the upper 257 m and continues in limestone below ...that depth. The groundwater has a very distinct chemistry. High concentrations of iron (10.4 mg/l), sulphide (15 mg/l), and chloride (6700 mg/l) are representative showing that mixing of seawater (31%) and groundwater (69%) under highly reducing conditions is present in the confined carbonate aquifer. Groundwater flow is extensive and deep, fed by higher elevation precipitation to the northeast.
