Na temelju brojnih istraživanja kojima se pokušalo utvrditi na koji se način usvaja znanje koje će biti reprezentirano unutar kategorija razvijeni su različiti pristupi kategorizaciji i ...kategorijalnom učenju. Ovaj rad predstavlja pregled pristupa kategorijalnom učenju počevši od dvadesetih godina prošlog stoljeća do danas. Prema pristupu definirajućih obilježja, kategorijalno je učenje proces nalaženja definicija ili pravila koja jednoznačno određuju pripadnost kategoriji. Teorija prototipa definira kategorijalno učenje kao proces stvaranja sumarnih reprezentacija ili apstrahiranja prototipa, odnosno, učenja najreprezentativnijega predstavnika koji odražava prosjek obilježja svih pripadnika kategorije. Teorija egzemplara promatra kategorijalno učenje kao pohranjivanje pojedinačnih egzemplara u dugoročno pamćenje sve dok kategorizacija ne dosegne optimalnu razinu točnosti. Navedenim teorijama suprotstavljen je integrativni pristup koji pretpostavlja da je kategorijalno učenje pod utjecajem šireg predznanja, koje se neizostavno aktivira prilikom nailaska na entitete koje je potrebno ispravno klasificirati. Na kraju, prikazana su najnovija istraživanja koja upućuju na to da kategorijalno učenje nije moguće objasniti jednim sustavom učenja već da je ono posredovano višestrukim, kvalitativno različitim, sustavima učenja i pamćenja. Posebna je pažnja posvećena razlici između eksplicitnog ili deklarativnog sustava i implicitnog ili proceduralnog sustava, a istraživanja pokazuju kako vrsta kategorije koju je potrebno usvojiti određuje koji će se od sustava aktivirati tijekom učenja.
Numerous studies have attempted to determine the process of acquiring knowledge which is represented in categories, and different approaches to categorization and category learning were proposed. ...This paper presents an overview of approaches to category learning. According to the Classical view or the Definitional approach, category learning is a process of finding definitions or mies that uniquely define category membership. The Prototype theory describes category learning as a process of creating a category prototype which reflects the average features of all category members, which can be a summary representation or the most representative category member. According to the Exemplar view, category learning is equal to memorizing or storing individual exemplars or category members in long-term memory. Contrary to the listed approaches, the Integrative approach assumes that category learning is influenced by broader knowledge which is inevitably activated when encountering entities that need to be properly classified. Today, research on category learning indicates that category learning cannot be explained by a single memory system, but that it is mediated by multiple, qualitatively different memory systems. Special attention is paid to the distinction between the explicit or declarative, and the implicit or procedural system, since research shows that activation of the specific memory system depends on the type of category learning task which has to be mastered.
A brief psychodynamic psychotherapy was assessed using the Brazilian Portuguese version of the Psychotherapy Process Q-Set (PQS). Each session was scored for its adherence to expert psychodynamic ...therapy (PDT) and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) prototypes derived from the PQS. Results revealed that the therapy process adhered more closely to prototypical CBT than prototypical PDT. Bivariate time-series analyses showed that prototype components capturing the client's adherence to ideal CBT behaviors and collaboration between therapist and client on ideal PDT and CBT behaviors predicted therapy progress. In addition, specific client symptoms influenced whether the therapist adhered to prototypical PDT or CBT behaviors.
The results are presented of a study carried out with the aim of perfecting a rapid, non destructive method of analysing the salt content in raw hams at different stages of preparation. The studied ...method is based on the use of a prototype consisting of a selective electrode for sodium ions, a reference electrode and a thermometer which can be inserted directly into the muscle fraction. The results, based on the responses provided by the system under study, show that salt content can be determined to a good degree of accuracy, on completion of both the salting and the ageing processes. On account of the rapidity of responses and of the non-destructive nature of the method, the prototype here studied could be considered for the preparation of hams at industrial level
Sono presentati i risultati di uno studio svolto con lo scopo di mettere a punto un metodo di analisi rapido e non distruttivo per la determinazione del contenuto di sale di prosciutti crudi prelevati a diversi stadi del processo di preparazione. Il metodo studiato e' basato sull'utilizzo di un prototipo costituito da un elettrodo selettivo per gli ioni sodio, un elettrodo di riferimento e un misuratore di temperatura, da inserire direttamente nella frazione muscolare del prodotto. I risultati mostrano che e' possibile determinare con buona approssimazione il contenuto di sale dei prodotti, sia al termine della salagione che al completamento della stagionatura, sulla base delle risposte fornite dal sistema oggetto di studio. Il breve tempo di risposta e soprattutto il fatto che il metodo non e' distruttivo lasciano prevedere un interessante impiego, nella linea di preparazione dei prosciutti, di una eventuale realizzazione industriale del prototipo utilizzato in questo lavoro
The paper reports data on structure and performances of an automated growth chamber prototype for vegetable plantlet production (box nursery), developed in relation to the research activity carried ...out in the Italian basis Baia Terra Nova, in Antarctica. The prototype was built to produce young plants to support the Plant-based Unit for Life Support in Antarctica (PULSA), in the frame of an ongoing research activity of the PNRA (Italian Program of Research in Antarctica). The box nursery is composed by: a growth chamber (89 x 69 cm, height 203 cm); a second body (satellite cube, 76 x 70 cm, height 91 cm) containing the control system and the irrigation tanks. Three germination module units were installed in the growth chamber, each composed by a steel tray equipped with a sub-irrigation system and a lighting panel. Cooling, heating and dehumidification systems were included in growth chamber to maintain optimal growth conditions. A system of ventilation was installed to prevent CO2 and ethylene accumulation as well as oxygen depletion. A specific software was developed to allow the control of all systems and to record internal conditions. The prototype was tested for one year with different plants (lettuce, tomato, radish). The results showed that the prototype maintains the pre-set parameters independently from external climate, with an average power consumption of about 0.6 kW. No differences on uniformity coefficient, average time and % of germination were recorded compared to seeds germinated in the same growing conditions
Il lavoro riporta dati sulla struttura e le prestazioni di un prototipo di camera di crescita automatizzata per la produzione di piantine di ortaggi (box nursery), sviluppata in rapporto all'attività di ricerca condotta presso la base italiana Baia Terra Nova, in Antartide. Il prototipo è stato costruito per produrre piantine a supporto della realizzazione di sistemi produttivi per la produzione di biomassa alimentare (PULSA, Plant-based Unit for Life Support in Antarctica), nell'ambito di un'attività di ricerca del Programma Nazionale Ricerche in Antartide (PNRA). Il box nursery è composto da: una camera di crescita (89 x 69 cm, altezza 203 cm); un secondo corpo (unità satellite, 76 x 70 cm, altezza 91 cm) contenente il sistema di controllo e i serbatoi per l'irrigazione. Nella camera sono state installate tre unità di germinazione, ognuna composta da un vassoio d'acciaio con un sistema di subirrigazione e un pannello di illuminazione. Sono stati previsti sistemi di raffrescamento, riscaldamento e deumidificazione per mantenere condizioni ottimali di crescita. E' stato installato un sistema di ventilazione per prevenire l'accumulo di CO2 ed etilene e la carenza di ossigeno. E' stato sviluppato un software specifico per il controllo di tutti i sistemi e per la registrazione dei dati sulle condizioni interne. Il prototipo è stato provato per un anno con specie diverse (lattuga, pomodoro, ravanello). I risultati hanno dimostrato che il prototipo mantiene i parametri prestabiliti indipendentemente dalle condizioni esterne, con un consumo medio di potenza di circa 0,6 kW. Non sono state riscontrate differenze riguardo a coefficiente di uniformità, tempo medio e % di germinazione, rispetto a semi germinati nelle medesime condizioni ambientali

This paper describes how the agricultural tractor bonnet design can be experimentally carried out: the dimensioning of the cooler system and the bonnet geometry are difficult to predict ...theoretically. In particular, it is shown how, through several steps, the bonnet necessary technical and aesthetic characteristics are figured out and related to each other and, finally, how the design decisions are selected. The measurement procedures evaluating the engine parameters in each step are presented in detail. A concise description of the large amount of measurements is reported to illustrate the work done on the two prototypes. The development of the reported project has been carried out at the laboratory of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Engineering of Bologna University
Il lavoro descrive come si può condurre sperimentalmente la progettazione del cofano della trattrice agricola: il dimensionamento del sistema di raffreddamento e la geometria del cofano sono difficili da prevedere teoricamente. In particolare si evidenzia come, tramite numerosi passaggi, possano essere tracciate e correlate le caratteristiche estetiche e tecniche necessarie del cofano e, infine, come possono essere selezionate le decisioni relative alla progettazione. Vengono presentate in dettaglio le procedure di misurazione per la valutazione dei parametri del motore in ogni fase. Viene riportata una descrizione sintetica della notevole quantità di misurazioni per illustrare il lavoro effettuato sui due prototipi. Lo sviluppo del progetto riportato è stato condotto nel laboratorio del Dipartimento di Economia e Ingegneria Agrarie dell'Università di Bologna

The rolling harrow was developed and patented at the MAMA of DAGA of the University of Pisa during 2003 and 2004. The new harrow is equipped with spike discs placed at the front and gage rolls ...mounted at the rear. The spike discs and gage rolls are each placed on horizontal axles and are connected to one another by a chain drive with a ratio equal to 2. Thus, the rolls work with a peripheral speed twice as high as that of the discs. The discs and the rolls can be placed differently on the axles: (1) close arrangement in order to make non-selective pre-emergence mechanical weed control (false seedbed technique); (2) spaced arrangement with the aim to make selective post-emergence inter-row weeding. The action of the rolling harrow is characterised by the passage of the spike discs (that till the top 3-4 cm of the soil), followed by the passage of the gage rolls that work at a higher peripheral speed whereby the 1-2 cm top soil is tilled and crumbled. Thus, it is possible to kill those weed seedlings that are included and protected by small lumps that are normally left on the soil after common mechanical weed control on crusty, wet and plastic soils. The machine was tested in some organic vegetable crops with very good results. The working width can be varied from 1 m and up to 24 m for pre-emergence control. For post-emergence treatments, the implement can be adjusted to different inter-row width ranging from 15 cm and up to 90 cm. Moreover, the implement can be equipped with pairs of elastic tines with the aim to control weeds also in the rows
Presso il MAMA del DAGA dell'Università di Pisa, nel corso del 2003 e del 2004 è stato sviluppato e brevettato l'erpice a dischi attivi. Il nuovo erpice è dotato di dischi a spuntoni disposti anteriormente e di rulli a gabbia disposti posteriormente. I dischi a spuntoni e i rulli a gabbia sono inseriti su due assali orizzontali, collegati mediante un sistema di trasmissione a pignoni e catena con rapporto di trasmissione uguale a 2. In tal modo, i rulli lavorano a una velocità periferica doppia rispetto a quella dei dischi. I dischi e i rulli possono essere collocati in modo diverso sui due assi: (1) disposizione ravvicinata allo scopo di effettuare il controllo meccanico delle infestanti in pre-emergenza (tecnica della falsa semina); (2) disposizione distanziata e tale da consentire l'effettuazione di interventi selettivi in post-emergenza fra le file. La modalità di azione dell'erpice a dischi attivi è caratterizzata dal passaggio dei dischi con spuntoni (che lavorano i 3-4 cm superficiali del suolo), cui fa seguito il passaggio dei rulli a gabbia, che operano con elevata velocità periferica a profondità più ridotta (1-2 cm). E' così possibile eliminare le plantule delle infestanti incluse e protette da piccole zolle che di norma vengono lasciate sul terreno dopo il comune diserbo meccanico su suoli crostosi, umidi e plastici. L'attrezzatura è stata provata su alcune colture ortive biologiche con risultati molto buoni. La larghezza di lavoro può essere variata da 1 m fino a 24 m per il diserbo in pre-emergenza. Per i trattamenti in post-emergenza, l'attrezzo può essere adattato a distanze interfila diverse, variabili da 15 cm fino a 90 cm. Inoltre, l'attrezzo può essere dotato di paia di diserbatori elastici, per controllare le infestanti anche sulle file.
