This article is supported by the author's experience through a methodology created during her Ph.D. thesis 'The experience of book's place at the university', also during COVID-19 restrictions. The ...student transformed public presentations into collaborative research
workshops, where new interrelations and concepts occurred rooted in arts-based research methodologies, exploring art and education, in its scope. Cardography is an invented designation based on a/r/tography, as a creative living research methodology that uses cards as a device for a
visual inquiry, considering that each book's page is a card to be written or drawn (digital or paper), documenting the dialogic process during each research workshop. The research result contemplates an artistic object, which is displayed afterwards in university and art exhibitions.
The reader is invited to follow a fil rouge alignment, inspired by a book structure, reflecting upon concepts and research methods not yet implemented at the art education doctoral course.
This article investigates creative work from an ex-centric perspective, bringing insights from experiences of work in the Ghanaian creative industries to bear on the understanding of creative work as ...a relational labour of care and caring. We argue that the ethics and aesthetics of care in creative work can best be captured and appreciated through the use of innovative arts-based methodologies that afford researchers the opportunity to explore care-fully the relational aspects of creative work. Accordingly, we base our findings on insights generated from the organisation of and participation in an artistic research workshop in Ghana. We show that artistic workshops themselves constitute a caring and socially useful form of empirical research that upholds the principles of "creative justice" by fostering more respectful, attentive, and affective relationships among research participants and between researchers and participants.
We present an emerging model of shared academic, intellectual and infrastructure resources that addresses the need for institutions to sustain their educational and scholarship missions under ...ever-declining funding. The (IBA) was created in 2014 by Illinois State University for this purpose, eventually growing to a state-recognized 'Center for Collaborative Studies' in 2017. As the impact of the IBA continues to expand, it is on its way to become a new education paradigm in response to diminishing resources, and it can serve as a model to foster collaboration for other fields of mathematics.
This article aims to discuss the main results presented by the research "Ethnic-racial and gender relations in the context of pedagogical practices: experiences and (re) inventions in basic ...education" and the research "Teaching of Afro-Brazilian and African History and Culture and Identity: challenges and implications in pedagogical practices". We dialogued with the methods adopted in the researches, the ethno-research and collaborative action research, taking the Research Workshops (APs) as a device for data construction and intervention, which enabled the construction of a (self)formative and coauthorial movement, based on collaboration and reflection on the practice. The theoretical discussions dialogue mainly with hooks (2017); Lima (2015); Pimenta (2005); Silva and Costa (2020) and other authors. The results indicated that by taking as centrality the narratives of the teaching experience and their life stories in the intertwining of professional development, the APs provoked displacements in the formative processes with the themes of race and gender, producing reflection and change in the pedagogical practices. They also showed that it is not enough to be a collaborator in the research for the co-creation and co-authorship to be established, it is essential that the ethos of trust, the ethical and horizontal relationship is built throughout the process, given that the modus operandi of the Research Workshops excels in horizontality, invention and experience anchored in the real of everyday school life as drivers for the production of pedagogical knowledge considered as scientific knowledge in the field of teaching.
Research workshops are designed to help students develop skills that go beyond the scope of one-shot library sessions. However, with more students conducting research off-campus, online, and in the ...evening, workshops targeted towards complex skills and competencies are difficult to offer. But what if librarians were to design and deliver intensive workshops online? By removing the constraints of time and space, librarians can bring active learning and collaboration to an environment that meets student demand. This paper describes one research library's experience with the development, implementation, and assessment of a multi-day, asynchronous, online workshop, targeted at teaching "Effective Literature Review."

Rund um die Frage der Professionalisierung qualitativ-empirischer Forschung versammelt der Band des Zentrums für Sozialweltforschung und Methodenentwicklung (ZSM) Beiträge zur Verhältnisbestimmung ...von Theorie und Empirie, zu Methodologien in ihrer Bedeutung und Funktion für Forschungsprozesse, zu Methoden, Methodenentwicklung und qualitativen Ergebnisformaten sowie zur Frage der Lehre und Vermittlung qualitativer Forschung.; Around the question of the professionalisation of qualitative-empirical research, the volume of the Centre for Social World Research and Methodology Development (ZSM) gathers contributions on the relationship between theory and empiricism, on methodologies in their meaning and function for research processes, on methods, method development and qualitative result formats, as well as on the question of teaching and communicating qualitative research.
(DIPF/Orig.).
The article discusses the significance of a biographical orientation in social work and, based on material derived from student research, shows how such an orientation can be developed in the process of professionalization. The author discusses by reference to two student case studies how processes and problems of professional action can become the subject of reconstructive research and self-reflection carried out by (future) practitioners themselves and how thus the focus is directed towards an aspect essential to social work: the reflective and genuine interest in the life history of another person. With reference to Mary Richmond, an early protagonist of social work, conditions of and obstacles in the development of a reconstructive and biographical orientation are discussed. (DIPF/Orig.).
This chapter provides some suggestions for ways in which librarians might educate themselves about the history, theories, and practice of qualitative work. A list of professional organizations and ...resources is provided.
