Little is known about health variables and if these variables could increase the risk of injuries among adolescent elite athletes. The primary aim was to present overall data on self‐perceived ...stress, nutrition intake, self‐esteem, and sleep, as well as gender and age differences, on two occasions among adolescent elite athletes. A secondary aim was to study these health variables as potential risk factors on injury incidence. A questionnaire was e‐mailed to 340 adolescent elite athletes on two occasions during a single school year: autumn semester and spring semester. The results show that during autumn semester, the recommended intake of fruits, vegetables, and fish was not met for 20%, 39%, and 43% of the adolescent elite athletes, respectively. The recommended amount of sleep during weekdays was not obtained by 19%. Multiple logistic regression showed that athletes sleeping more than 8 h of sleep during weekdays reduced the odds of injury with 61% (OR, 0.39; 95% CI, 0.16–0.99) and athletes reaching the recommended nutrition intake reduced the odds with 64% (OR, 0.36; 95% CI, 0.14–0.91). Our findings suggest that nutrition intake and sleep volume are of importance in understanding injury incidence.
The fuzzy preference relation with self-confidence (FPR-SC), whose elements are composed of the degree to which an alternative is preferred to another and the self-confidence level about the ...preference degree, is a useful tool for decision makers to express their preference information over alternatives. In this paper, an extended logarithmic least squares method (LLSM) is first proposed to derive a priority weight vector from an FPR-SC, based on which the multiplicative consistency of an FPR-SC is further defined and two algorithms are devised to improve the multiplicative consistency of an unacceptably consistent FPR-SC. Furthermore, we develop a novel approach to two-sided matching decision making with FPRs-SC based on the LLSM and the proposed consistency improving algorithms. Eventually, the feasibility and effectiveness of the two-sided matching decision making approach are demonstrated by an example for the matching of knowledge suppliers and knowledge demanders.
Research shows that evidence-based algorithms more accurately predict the future than do human forecasters. Yet when forecasters are deciding whether to use a human forecaster or a statistical ...algorithm, they often choose the human forecaster. This phenomenon, which we call algorithm aversion, is costly, and it is important to understand its causes. We show that people are especially averse to algorithmic forecasters after seeing them perform, even when they see them outperform a human forecaster. This is because people more quickly lose confidence in algorithmic than human forecasters after seeing them make the same mistake. In 5 studies, participants either saw an algorithm make forecasts, a human make forecasts, both, or neither. They then decided whether to tie their incentives to the future predictions of the algorithm or the human. Participants who saw the algorithm perform were less confident in it, and less likely to choose it over an inferior human forecaster. This was true even among those who saw the algorithm outperform the human.
Due to the development of intelligent decision-making, social network group decision-making (SNGDM) has become increasingly valued. Generally, real SNGDM cases involve not only the mathematical ...formulation of the social network analysis but also the experts’ psychological behaviors. Self-confidence, an expert's psychological implication of self-statement, is a significant topic in SNGDM problems, while it is overlooked in most existing research. To address this issue, this study takes experts’ self-confidence into account in SNGDM. All experts use self-confident fuzzy preference relations (SC-FPRs) to express their opinions. Subsequently, we have developed a novel self-confidence-based consensus approach for SNGDM with SC-FPRs. A dynamic importance degree of experts which combines the external trust and internal self-confidence is proposed to determine their weights. A consensus index considering self-confidence is defined to assess the consensus level among experts. Meanwhile, a trust-based feedback mechanism is presented to improve the consensus efficiency. The rule of the feedback mechanism is that experts dynamically adjust their self-confidence levels while revising the preferences. Using a self-confidence score function, an alternative that has the highest self-confidence score can be selected as the best solution. An illustrative example and some comparisons are given to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.

Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah Siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan di Cirebon yang terdiri dari 30 siswa oleh 29 laki – laki dan 1 perempuan dari jurusan Teknik Kendaraan Ringan Otomotif. instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket kepercayaan diri siswa, yang dibentuk dari 7 indikator kepercayaan diri atau self convidence terdiri dari 1.)Percaya pada kemampuan diri sendiri I sebesar 55,3%, kemudian 2.).Percaya.pada kemampuan.diri.sendiri.II sebesar 59%, 3.) Bertindak.mandiri.dalam mengambil keputusan sebesar 61,5%,4.)Menghargai diri dan usaha sendiri sebesar 55,6%, 5.)Bersemangat Ketika menggemukakan pendapat dalam diskusi sebesar 65,1%, 6.) Berani menghadapi tantangan I sebesar 58,6%, 7.)Berani menghadapi tantangan II sebesar 46,9%. Dari hasil perhitungan rata-rata berdasarkan indikator kemampuan self convidence diperoleh hasil dengan pencapaian 6 indikator bernilai sedang dan 1 indikator bernilai rendah. siswa yang tergolong rendah disebabkan karena kurangnya percaya diri dengan cenderung menghindari kegagalan dan enggan berubah atau atau mencoba sesuatu yang baru, sedangkan siswa yang tergolong sedang siswa yang cenderung berani dan percaya diri saat kegiatan.
This study aimed to determine the relationship between students' self-confidence and critical thinking skills in the learning process in SMA Negeri 1 Sumberejo. The research participants consisted of ...108 students in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Sumberejo, Tanggamus Regency in the 2021/2022 academic year, which was divided into three classes. Purposive sampling was used to select the research sample. This study used a descriptive correlational design with a correlational study method. The instruments used consisted of a descriptive test to measure critical thinking skills and a self-confidence questionnaire. The data for this study consisted of quantitative data collected by filling out student self-confidence questionnaires and descriptive tests on critical thinking skills on the topic of linear programs as primary data. Data analysis was conducted using the Pearson product-moment correlation test, with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results showed a significant relationship between self-confidence and students' critical thinking skills in learning, with a correlation coefficient of 0.932 and a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, respectively. This indicates that the higher the students’ self-confidence level, the higher their critical thinking skills.

In this paper, we investigate how the agent's self-confidence level and the node degree influence the consensus opinion formation and the consensus convergence speed in the social network DeGroot model. We find that (1) the higher self-confidence will increase the agent's importance degree to determine the consensus opinion, but will also slow down the convergence speed for all agents to be able to obtain consensus, and (2) it is conducive to accelerating the convergence speed to be able to reach a consensus where all agents can manage to balance self-confidence levels and node degrees in the social network.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between verbal abuse and self-confidence in children in Pabean Village, Sedati District, Sidoarjo.
Methods: The method in this research is to use a quantitative type of research with a cross sectional research design. The sample in this study amounted to 36 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. Data collection using questionnaires and data analysis using the Spearman Rank (Rho) test.
Result: The results of the Spearman Rank statistical test obtained (p = 0.000; r = -0.570). The relationship between verbal abuse and self-confidence of school-age children, at Pabean Sidoaarjo has a strong relationship with a negative correlation.
Conclusion: The importance of preventing and overcoming verbal abuse in children. This research provides an understanding of the negative impact of verbal abuse on children's self-esteem and reinforces the need to develop approaches that involve protection and recovery for children who have experienced verbal abuse. Measures of protection, education and psychological support should be put in place to ensure the mental and emotional well-being of children in society.
The purpose of this study was to determine: (I) the difference in the effect of internal imagery and external imagery on shooting results, (2) the difference in the effect of high self-confidence and ...low self-confidence on shooting results, and (3) the interaction between imagery training and self-confidence on shooting results. This study uses a 2x2 factorial design experimental method. The population of the study was the participants in the futsal extracurricular activities at State Senior High Schools in Bengkulu City. The sample of this research was determined by random sampling technique which amounted to three schools namely SMAN 7 Bengkulu, SMAN 10 Bengkulu, SMAN 11 Bengkulu with a total of 42 students. The instrument measures the level of self-confidence using a self-confidence questionnaire and measures the results of the penalty kick shooting accuracy test using the Brace shooting penalty kick test. Data analysis used two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) at a significant level of a = 0.05. The results of the study are as follows: (1) There is a significant difference in effect between internal imagery training and external imagery training on futsal shooting results, (2) There is a difference in effect between high self-confidence and low self-confidence on futsal shooting results, (3) There is an interaction between imagery training and self-confidence from futsal shooting results.
Body image has become widely considered in modern society and has been found to affect performance, sport participation levels, athlete self-confidence and impact subjective judging. Female body ...image (BI) has been investigated in a range of sports yet, in the female dominated sport of equestrianism, where several disciplines are subjectively judged, there is a paucity of BI research. This study aimed to identify self-perceptions of BI in female equestrians, identify rider perceptions of judge and coach BI bias, highlight relationships between female equestrian body image and self-consciousness and explore any effect of breast size. A 4-part, 27 question online survey (GoogleForms) was distributed for 2 mo via various equestrian social media platforms and was completed by female equestrians (n = 493), based in the United Kingdom, currently participating in horse riding activities. Participants supplied demographic information, self-perceived BI and ideal female equestrian BI (rated on a validated scale from smallest A to largest J), and self-consciousness details while horse riding. Chi-squared (X2) and Wilcoxon (W) analyses were utilized to test associations between participant responses. The second smallest body image on the scale (B) was perceived to be ideal for the female equestrian (X2 = 352.751, P < 0.001). There was no significant effect of rider age, own BI, or level of riding commitment to this perception. There was a significant perception that judges favored riders with a smaller frame (X 2 = 54.2111, P < 0.001); and a significant association was found between riders who perceived their BI to be larger feeling self-conscious when riding (X2 87.514, P < 0.001). Additionally, significantly more people perceived the ideal BI to be smaller than their own BI (Median = −1.5, W = 7777.00, P < 0.001), there was an association between those categorised as dissatisfied with their BI and feeling self-conscious when riding (X2 = 83.649, P < 0.001). Consequently, perception of the ideal female equestrian frame is smaller than many riders’ own BI, and a larger BI negatively impacts rider self-confidence, potentially impacting performance, and participation, therefore, warranting further research. Female riders with a larger frame may be perceived negatively by judges, or at least feel they are, and further study is indicated to investigate the extent these influences have on the subjective judging of equestrian sport.
