This study investigated the obstacles faced by learners with high-functioning autism in pursuing careers in sports, at a special school in Johannesburg, South Africa. It explored strategies that ...these learners can use to overcome obstacles they may experience in pursuing careers in sports. The study used a qualitative methodology informed by an interpretive paradigm and intrinsic case study design. The study involved eighteen participants, namely six teachers, six parents and six learners. Data were collected through focus group interviews, semi-structured interviews, art-based career collages and document analysis. The data were analyzed through thematic analysis. The findings show that these learners face numerous obstacles in pursuing sports careers due to a lack of resources, inadequate facilities, lack of parental involvement, discrimination, inadequate training of teachers, lack of sporting activities, and lack of appropriate school structures. The learners face personal obstacles, including verbal, writing, social, interactional, and behavioral deficiencies. The findings indicate a need to provide these learners with adequate and relevant resources and facilities at home, school, and elsewhere to tackle these obstacles.

The readiness of those schools to implement inclusive education programs is also reflected in this study. Communication, interaction, and collaboration between local governments and educational institutions need to be improved to guarantee and realize accessibility for inclusive education.
The number of children educated within maintained Special Educational Needs (SEN) Schools, known as special schools, in England has continued to rise since 2006, yet the 'pupil voice' of children and ...young people with severe learning difficulties and those attending special schools remains limited in current research. Drawing on Gramsci's theory of cultural hegemony (see Jones, 2006), this study aimed to provide an under-represented group with the opportunity to express attitudes and opinions towards their physical education (PE) lessons. The research adopted a participant-focused methodology and used a task-based approach, where participants could complete a series of activities suitable to individual needs. The tasks included a drawing activity, a PE likes and dislikes activity and a storyboard with the following sentence starters: 'I like', 'I don't like', 'I feel', 'I want to' and 'I think'. PE took on multiple forms, including therapy sessions and team games, thus suggesting that PE was not narrowly defined as one specific form of education for the pupils. Participants were able to express strong opinions towards the type of activities they liked and disliked and were able to demonstrate a basic understanding of the benefits of PE in relation to health. Results indicate that team-based sports were popular and culturally valued. However, participants were often bored of repetitive PE lessons and well-liked therapy-related exercise often replaced PE classes. Older participants (16 years +) attending sixth form were frustrated that PE or the ability to be physically active during the school day was no longer part of their education, suggesting that perhaps PE lessons were not always culturally valued within the school. Finally, due to the lack of opportunities for adults with special education needs in the wider community, participants no longer had access to the types of physical activity they had enjoyed in school.
21st century learning requires Special School teachers to have knowledge and skills in implementing technology-based learning strategies to facilitate and facilitate student learning and improve ...learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the ability of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) and digital e-scaffolding in Special School teachers. This type of research used descriptive quantitative. The sample in this research is Special School teachers. Data collection using a questionnaire. Data analysis using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the ability of Special School teachers to integrate and utilize TPACK and computer and internet-based digital e-scaffolding for learning students with disabilities was in the good category. The results of this study show that 78% of Special School teachers have been able to utilize TPACK and digital e-scaffolding in learning for students with disabilities. TPACK skills and digital e-scaffolding are needed by Special School teachers to integrate and utilize technology that supports the learning of students with disabilities. The novelty of this research is to simultaneously analyze TPACK and e-scaffolding because much research has been done on TPACK but research on TPACK and digital e-scaffolding is still limited.

This research is aimed to evaluate the quality of the International Sportsman School in East Kalimantan. The evaluations are context, input, process, and product. The CIPP model developed by ...Sufflebeam is used as a method. The results revealed that the context reviewed from the background and purpose of the establishment has been following the need for coaching the young athletes. Input selection shows that the athlete distribution in 10 districts has not spread equally, yet. Moreover, the infrastructures need more intensive improvement and treatment. Process evaluation shows that the implementation of the academic process and achievement coaching has been following the existing criteria. Then, the product evaluation shows that the academic report is good enough. But, for certain sports, it needs additional improvement in the achievement of all aspects. Hence, it can be concluded that the success of nursery, coaching, training, and management of the International Sports School cannot be separated from the human resources and other supporting systems such as funding and infrastructure.
This article argues that children with disabilities face significant obstacles in schooling in Tanzania, despite the government initiative to formulate policy and awareness creation for people with ...disabilities. This paper examined the causes of enrollments disparities of students with disabilities in the schooling system in Tanzania. Three objectives were addressed regarding enrollment trends from 2016 to 2020, causes leading to disparities in enrolments, and obstacles facing students with disabilities in non-inclusive schools. Documentary analysis and interview methods were used to collect information. The participants were special needs educators and students from secondary schools and universities. The findings reveal disparities in enrollment of students with disabilities as they advance from lower to higher levels of schooling. The analysis shows that the smaller number of students with disabilities in the schooling system was attributed to a lack of awareness among parents on the educational services provided to children with disabilities, traditional beliefs, poverty, stigma, and harassment. The analysis further shows that shortage of qualified teachers, poor school infrastructures, and unsupported inclusive classrooms was among many obstacles facing students with disabilities in schools.
