Background. In recent decades, information technology has become a vital component of various aspects of our lives. The use of information technology in different domains has made the analysis of the ...level of its acceptance/rejection a significant factor in organizations. Objectives. The aim of this study was to illustrate the application of the extended technology acceptance model in sports organizations. Methods. The participants consisted of 350 employees selected from across various Iranian sports organizations. The data were collected according to the perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude (AT), intention to use (IU), technology self-efficacy (TSE), technology anxiety, perceived enjoyment, and user satisfaction for each variable in the study model. A panel of experts determined the face and content validity of the experiment. The Cranach’s alpha coefficient was used to determine the validity. Results. The results showed that AT, self-efficacy, PU, EOU, and user satisfaction have a meaningful effect on the intention to use information technology. The highest effect was related to AT, and the lowest to user satisfaction. Conclusion. It can be claimed that when people have a more positive AT toward the use of information technology, they will exhibit beliefs or excitements, which makes it more viable for them to perceive information technology positively, and consequently increase the intention to use it.

Introduction: The Corona pandemic has an impact on all areas of society, including sport and its financing. The importance of crowdfunding in the field of financing has risen during the last ten ...years rapidly. There is a lack of experience regarding crowdfunding in the field of sports. This article deals with the possibility of using crowdfunding as a financing alternative for sports organizations during the time of Covid-19 in Germany in order to investigate if crowdfunding can be used by sports organizations in times of crisis or not.Material and methods: A mixed method approach was chosen to answer the research questions. 24 crowdfunding projects related to the topic of Corona in Germany in 2020 initiated by sports organizations had been identified in order to be analyzed quantitatively. In addition, three project initiators were interviewed qualitatively to identify opportunities and risks of this form of financing and to derive recommendations for future financing of sports organizations. Results&discussion: All financing projects have been successful regardless the type of the organization initiating the project, the type of sports of the project and the amount of money expected within the project. Qualitatively, apart from the pure successes in terms of crowdfunding revenues, there are some challenges for sports organizations to ensure the sustainable success of such projects. These include, above all, human and digital resources, which have hardly existed up to now.A positive aspect is the cohesion perceived by the initiators, not only among the supporters but also between different sports organizations. It remains to be seen whether this will also be so intense outside of a crisis such as the Covid-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, crowdfunding as a whole represents a real opportunity for the financing of sports organizations, not only in times of crisis.
The present investigation aimed to understand how scientific research has recently studied the environmental sustainability in the sports tourism market. Thus, a systematic literature review was ...developed for the time 2013-2019 using Scopus, Sage, Science Direct and Web of Knowledge as database resources. The main results were: (a) the sports event context was the most scrutinized with major concentration on mega events; (b) the environmental pillar of sports tourism was predominantly investigated through the sports practitioners and sparsely by the spectators' role; (c) sports practice was the most influencing factor for sports practitioners' greener behaviour, mainly in nature-based activities; and (d) external pressures and perceptions on the environmental organizational efforts were strongly related to the adoption of ecological management by sports events. This study provided practical implications for sports tourism managers such as the need of collaboration within the sports tourism sector to develop environmental strategies and initiatives, tailoring the sports services according to the expertise of sports practitioners in natural areas and promoting environmental education across all sports actors involved in the demand and supply of the sports tourism market.

The underrepresentation of women in sports leadership positions raises significant concerns regarding equality and diversity. This study aims to explore the relationship between sports leadership and ...gender. The objective is to understand and highlight the individual, organizational, and societal factors hindering women’s progress in sports leadership roles. This paper identified 32 publications out of 157 selected references through the systematic literature review (SLR) method. The results of this meta-analysis reveal that despite their active involvement in sports, women remain inadequately represented in leadership roles. In fact, women face several challenges, including sexism, underestimation of their skills, and associating them with family constraints. Consequently, it becomes imperative to take concrete measures to promote gender equality and an equal professional development environment for both genders. Several areas for future studies could deepen the understanding of sports leadership and gender, including cross-linguistic comparisons, intersectional perspectives, longitudinal analyses, a study of male dynamics, technological impact, the evaluation of organizational policies and practices, as well as cultural comparisons.
Purpose: Nowadays, gender inequality can be observed in most areas. The study aimed to understand the Career Development of Women in Iranian Sport Management.Methodology: This study was conducted ...through Grounded Theory. The statistical population comprised the academic elite in sports management, women’s studies, and management. The sample included 17 researchers and managers. For the data analyzed used, a three-step coding was completed. The axial codes were divided into four levels. Three constructs formed every level.Findings: The outcome is a simple model of constructs and their interrelationships regarding women’s career development in Iranian sports management. By applying this model, the Iranian sports authority and organizations can obtain a crystal-clear image of the complicated road ahead. It can be used to examine the factors and their relationship to improve the current situation and devise a plan for the future of women's career development.Originality: In Iran, sports management is challenged by the lack of women in senior levels of sport or ganizations and the lack of clarity related to developing their career opportunities. In this study, grounded theory has been used to create a realistic picture of the complex situation of women's career advancement paths in sports organizations.
Sports organizations are subject to a permanent movement, having to plan correctly and systemically towards the future. This research analyzes the different concepts, theories and research of ...different authors on which are the internal and external variables on which the public and private sports organizations base their management. In this sense, a documentary investigation was designed, with explanatory level depth, oriented in a phenomenological, interpretative epistemological approach, of qualitative nature. The data collection technique is a documentary analysis; using arching of sources and triangulation, the instrument was a digital word processor. Among the findings, it was observed that many sports organizations based their planning mainly on theoretical facts, unrealistic to their situation, always considering the same internal and external variables. In their management these organizations mainly consider the managerial level, and a little to their personnel, being more interested in the results of the teams or of their athletes, the typical operating management is highly qualified to solve current problems and resist a change of paradigm to get involved and to investigate more deeply on other internal variables of their organism equally on external variables that impact on their organization. Finally, the research reflects other variables to be considered in order to optimize the management process in sports organizations, which, when properly considered, can support their management and will result in sustainable development, fulfilling their activities and achieving the stated goal.
Proper quality management of sports services requires knowledge of the needs, perceptions, expectations, and emotions of users. Facial expressions provide relevant information about the immediate ...perception of stimuli. The objective of this study was therefore to analyze how a group of child users of sports services expressed their satisfaction with the programs in which they participated through facial expressions during an in-depth interview tailored to their age. Nineteen child users of a sports organization (aged from 5 to 12 years) were interviewed, involving both qualitative and quantitative analyses. The analysis of facial expressions was performed using Face Reader v.6.1.10, which automatically analyzes eight categories of facial expressions (six basic emotions, one neutral, and one unidentified). The data collection and transformation procedures fully satisfied the requirement for flexibility and provide new perspectives for incorporating data into the study of biopsychosocial factors in everyday contexts using a Mixed-Methods approach. In addition, the generalizability analysis itself, carried out to determine the levels of reliability, generalizability and precision of the sample (with relative and absolute G indexes of between 0.86 and 0.93 for the three analyses performed), was also a Mixed-Methods procedure.
