The boundaries of sports journalism continue to expand as non-traditional actors emerge and proliferate in the digital environment. This outstanding and vital specialist area within the news industry ...faces increasing pressure from adjacent fields. Amateur sports enthusiasts (bloggers, streamers or influencers) and team media for sports organizations adopt many of the roles and tasks historically attributed to sports journalism and engage in activities that may be perceived and regarded as journalistic by audiences. The arrival of new actors around the journalistic field, the heavy use of social media and its impact on sports consumption patterns, the search for new business models for news organizations, and the disrupting technology that is being explored and applied in sports coverage all require new conceptual approaches to better understand the sports news industry in the digital age. All of these considerations led eighteen authors from nine countries (Greece, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Australia, Ireland, and Sweden) to publish their research contributions and broaden the discussion in this MDPI reprint about the current trends in the sports media landscape and the most pressing challenges that sports journalists need to face in the years to come.

Sport organizations employ corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to stimulate support for their products orservices to capitalize on strategic approaches to enhance their business and ...social outcomes. Research question: Although themajority of previous studies in sport management have focused on the factors that lead professional sport organizations (PSOs) toengage in CSR activities and outcomes, little is known about the authenticity of the initiatives. Research Method: Building onstakeholder theory, this study puts forward a conceptual framework that considers perceived authentic CSR as a dynamic process thatrelies on effective communication between the sport organization and target stakeholders. As such, the framework specifies fourfundamental components - anticipating, planning, implementing, and evaluation - that jointly influence perceived authentic CSR in thePSOs context. Results and Findings: Thus, the proposed framework updates and extends the meaning of authentic CSR in the sportcontext, which, in turn, can influence social outcomes.

Information, communication, and digital technologies such as the Internet, social media channels, mobile communication devices, big data, and artificial intelligence technologies generate new ...challenges for public communication within organizations that have the public as users of services. Private organizations in Romania have already implemented information, communication, and digital technologies. Moreover, in the sector of public organizations in sports (municipal and county sports clubs), significant steps are being taken towards modernizing public communication based on information, communication, and digital technologies. The paper proposes an empirical study on the employees of municipal and county sports clubs concerning the impact of information, communication, and digital technologies on the public communication of these clubs. The collected data is processed using artificial neural network analysis. Following the interpretation of the data, we show that social media represent the most critical technologies that influence the public communication of municipal and county sports clubs.

Introduction. The work considers regional features of the establishing public organizations in the Komi region in the 1920–1930s.
Materials and Methods. The research methodology is based on a complex ...approach using systematic, structural, historical, formal, legal and other methods. The main materials were both published and unpublished documents.
Results and Discussion. During the estimated period, public life both in the center of the country and in the peripheries was very active. Immediately after the Civil War, in the Komi region, the establishment of public organizations solved the problems of education, enlightenment and upbringing of citizens of a new country. The experience of organizations that had existed before 1917 was employed. They had successfully established themselves for a long time and could contribute to building socialism and strengthening the power of the ruling Communist party. New public organizations were created in those areas where the authorities needed to expand their influence and strengthen their positions. The branches of public organizations were actively created in the peasant milieu.
Conclusion. The regional features of the formation of public organizations include the fact that public organizations involved not only the intelligentsia of the region, but also the peasantry. Also, it was a significant coverage of the members. Each region of the Komi region had several branches of various public organizations. The unique feature of their activities were determined by the national basis in the case of Komi.
In relation to conceptualizing sports, beliefs about sex binary and male hegemony are dominant. To match these assumptions and provide level playing fields, sport systems are based on ...sex-segregation. Thus, people who do not fit into or reject fitting into sex categories are hindered from participating in sports, particularly organized sports. Studies on social exclusion of gender-identity minorities in sports mainly adopt a qualitative approach and focus on Anglophone countries. This research is the first to provide a comprehensive picture of the experiences of LGBT+ athletes in organized sports settings in Europe and is based on a quantitative online survey (
= 2,282). The current paper draws special attention to differences between cisgender and non-cisgender athletes (including transgender men, transgender women, non-binary, and non-identifying individuals). Besides athletes' experiences, organizational strategies of inclusion, derived from qualitative interviews with stakeholders from sport systems in five European countries (Germany, Scotland, Austria, Italy, and Hungary) are examined. Theoretically anchored in Cunningham's (2012) multilevel model for understanding the experiences of LGBT+ individuals and Meyer's (2003) minority stress model, the paper aims to (1) analyze the assessment of transnegativity and (2) examine negative experiences (prevalence, forms, perpetrators) of LGBT+ athletes from organized sport contexts in Europe; and (3) discuss inclusive strategies in sports organizations in Europe. Data reveal that transnegativity is perceived as a major problem in European sports, and non-cisgender athletes are the most vulnerable group, suffering particularly from structural discrimination. The implementation of inclusive strategies for non-cisgender athletes is perceived as a complex and essential task, but the sports organizations in the five countries differ substantially in terms of the status of implementation.
