Many researchers do their research on geoparks, slogan, and textual meaning of each but it is still limited research on textual meaning that relates to geopark slogans. This research tries to figure ...out the textual meaning of the UNESCO Global Geoparks slogans. The slogans are obtained from the UNESCO official website at www.unesco.org. The research method applied is a descriptive qualitative method. The data collected are eighty-five slogans: they were identified and classified into clauses (sixty-three data) and clause complexes (twenty-two data). It was reported that the simple topical theme is the dominant in the eighty-five slogans found. It was notified that the multiple themes found in the slogans have two elements: they are the combination of topical - textual theme and topical – interpersonal theme. It was concluded, for the readers, the simple theme is the dominant one since the simple ones are easier to understand and to memorize than the multiple ones. As concluded from the data analysis, the slogan writers tend to select simple themes as the best way to communicate the underlying message of their products to the readers or listeners. In addition, clauses are also preferred than clause complexes in formulating their slogans.

The article examines the main diegetic and thematic constants in Elsa Morante's early works. The first paragraph dwells upon the reasons why for a long time critics paid little attention to the texts ...that Morante published between 1931 and 1942. The second paragraph aimed at illustrating the methodological and chronological coordinates of the study, the third analyses diegetic memory and metanarration in young Morante. Eventually, the fourth paragraph analyses the recurrence of objects and themes, such as the theme of dream.
The idea of repeating musical themes in various configurations is a technique practiced since ancient times and is still valid today. Recognizing the ways of the motivic transformation and ...identifying the type of intervention on a work (paraphrasing, or quotation) reveals not only the composition process of the author but also makes possible the aesthetic description of the musical content. The learning objectives (like many disciplines) have undergone changes in the digital context of the pandemic year, so the main goal in the elaboration of specialized courses is maintaining students’ interest in music and especially encouraging their analytical introspection of scores and musical auditions.

receptor ...inhibitors. These scenarios comprise emergency situations such as active severe bleeding, urgent procedures with presumed high bleeding risk, or major trauma with (anticipated) bleeding. Supplementation of platelets has been investigated in ex vivo as well as in in vivo studies. These studies indicate that the inhibition of adenosine diphosphate-induced aggregation by the irreversibly binding thienopyridine derivatives clopidogrel and prasugrel can be reversed by administration of platelet concentrates. Supplementation of platelets in patients on prasugrel is more effective if this can be transfused > 6 hours after last dosing. Studies on the reversal effect obtained by administration of platelet concentrates in patients on ticagrelor show conflicting results. Experimental data suggest that administration of serum albumin might increase the reversal effect. A monoclonal antibody fragment (PB2452) for neutralizing ticagrelor is currently in clinical development. A recently published first in man study shows that reversal of platelet inhibition occurs within 5 minutes after start of administration and the effect is maintained for 20 to 24 hours after a 16-hour infusion which is by far the most effective approach for reversal of ticagrelor.
The Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games (the Games) were held from 23 July to 5 September 2021 in Tokyo, Japan, after a 1-year delay due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. The Tokyo ...Metropolitan Government was responsible for monitoring and responding to infectious disease outbreaks other than COVID-19 during the Games. A multisource surveillance system was used from 1 July to 12 September 2021 for the early detection and rapid response to infectious diseases. This included routine notifiable disease surveillance, sentinel surveillance, syndromic surveillance, cluster surveillance, ambulance transfer surveillance and the Tokyo Infectious Alert system. Daily reports were disseminated summarizing the data collected from the multisource surveillance system. No case of infectious disease under the Tokyo Metropolitan Government system required a response during the Games. The multisource surveillance was useful for providing intelligence during the Games and, if required, could contribute to the early detection and rapid response to outbreaks during other mass gatherings. The system could be improved to overcome the challenges implied by the findings of this multisource surveillance.
ObjectiveCirculation patterns of influenza and other respiratory viruses have been globally disrupted since the emergence of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and the introduction of public health and ...social measures (PHSMs) aimed at reducing severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) transmission.MethodsWe reviewed respiratory virus laboratory data, Google mobility data and PHSMs in five geographically diverse regions in Australia and New Zealand. We also described respiratory virus activity from January 2017 to August 2021.ResultsWe observed a change in the prevalence of circulating respiratory viruses following the emergence of SARS-CoV-2 in early 2020. Influenza activity levels were very low in all regions, lower than those recorded in 2017-2019, with less than 1% of laboratory samples testing positive for influenza virus. In contrast, rates of human rhinovirus infection were increased. Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) activity was delayed; however, once it returned, most regions experienced activity levels well above those seen in 2017-2019. The timing of the resurgence in the circulation of both rhinovirus and RSV differed within and between the two countries.DiscussionThe findings of this study suggest that as domestic and international borders are opened up and other COVID-19 PHSMs are lifted, clinicians and public health professionals should be prepared for resurgences in influenza and other respiratory viruses. Recent patterns in RSV activity suggest that these resurgences in non-COVID-19 viruses have the potential to occur out of season and with increased impact.
Developing a universal quality standard for thematic analysis (TA) is complicated by the existence of numerous iterations of TA that differ paradigmatically, philosophically and procedurally. This ...plurality in TA is often not recognised by editors, reviewers or authors, who promote 'coding reliability measures' as universal requirements of quality TA. Focusing particularly on our reflexive TA approach, we discuss quality in TA with reference to ten common problems we have identified in published TA research that cites or claims to follow our guidance. Many of the common problems are underpinned by an assumption of homogeneity in TA. We end by outlining guidelines for reviewers and editors - in the form of twenty critical questions - to support them in promoting high(er) standards in TA research, and more deliberative and reflexive engagement with TA as method and practice.
ObjectiveThe epidemiology of invasive non-typhoidal Salmonella (iNTS) in the Philippines is not well elaborated. The present study describes the serotype distribution and antimicrobial susceptibility ...patterns of iNTS in the Philippines from 2014 to 2018.MethodsInvasive NTS isolates were collected through the Department of Health's Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance Program (ARSP). The identification of the isolates was confirmed using automated (Vitek®, bioMérieux, Marcy l'Étoile, France) and conventional methods. The isolates were serotyped using the slide agglutination method, and susceptibility testing was performed using Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute guidelines. Demographic data were collected from the ARSP database.ResultsThere were 138 isolates collected from human invasive specimens with 97.8% from blood samples. The most common serotypes were Salmonella Enteritidis (n = 84, 60.9%) and Salmonella Typhimurium (n = 18, 13.0%). Most of the isolates were from males (n = 88, 63.8%) and from the 0-5-year age group (n = 61, 44.2%). The proportions of iNTS isolates resistant to first-line antibiotics were as follows: ampicillin (23.2%), chloramphenicol (9.6%), ciprofloxacin (8.7%), ceftriaxone (2.2%) and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (8.8%). The proportion of isolates with multidrug resistance was 13.0% (18/138) with the most common resistance profile being resistance to ampicillin-chloramphenicol-ciprofloxacin from Salmonella Enteritidis isolates (n = 5).DiscussionResistance to first-line antibiotics limits the therapeutic choices for Salmonella infection. Relevant local antimicrobial resistance data on iNTS may support appropriate empiric therapy among vulnerable populations.
I will argue that contrary to the view generally adopted in Russian traditional grammars and much literature on Slavic, thematic suffixes do not form a uniform group either semantically or ...morphologically. I will demonstrate that even those thematic suffixes that seem to have no semantic import do not behave in a unified way expected from theme vowels and cannot have the same position in the verb structure.
The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has threatened global public health. Travel has been restricted, economies slashed, borders sealed, and billions quarantined at their residences, in ...an attempt to contain the outbreak. Social distancing and lockdown measures have disrupted human lives in terms of social relationships and emotional bonds. Every individual is facing unique challenges to cope with these unprecedented times. However, certain sections of the population, like the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) community, are particularly vulnerable to not only the infective risks of the virus, but also the psycho-social offshoots of the global lockdown and the pandemic aftermath. The various factors range from the immunocompromised state, increased comorbidities of sexually transmitted diseases, other chronic medical disorders and substance abuse, as well as reduced access to health care, to stigma and social discrimination, administrative apathy, economic constraints, and uncertainty of social rituals like the Pride Celebrations. These can lead to the underdetection of the viral load, increased physiological risks to COVID-19, decreased help-seeking, and inequality in health and legal care. Their emotional and psychosexual well-being also gets impaired, with increased risks for psychiatric disorders and suicidality.
Keeping these factors in the background, this article glances at the disproportionate risk related to the COVID-19 pandemic in the sexual minorities, explores the psycho-social factors behind the same, and highlights specific ways to mitigate these risks for better care. Adopting a rights-based perspective for the LGBTQ community through public health measures during such crises can help reduce stigma and promote their social inclusion.
