〔目的〕人工膝関節全置換術患者の術前から術後早期の移動能力の変化に関する因子を検討した．〔対象と方法〕変形性膝関節症により片側人工膝関節全置換術を行った患者79名を対象に，術前から術後14日のTimed Up & Go ...Test（TUG）の変化量と，術前の膝関節痛，膝関節筋力，膝関節可動域，血液生化学所見，血圧値の関連を分析した．〔結果〕TUGの変化量は，術前術側膝伸展筋力と有意な負の相関を認め，術前術側膝伸展筋力が高いほど移動能力の改善が悪かった．術前術側膝伸展筋力が高いほど術前から術後14日の術側膝伸展筋力低下量が大きく，移動能力の低下につながった可能性が考えられた．〔結語〕術前の術側膝伸展筋力が高い場合にも，術後早期の膝伸展筋力や移動能力の低下が大きいことを考慮した支援の必要性が示唆された．
Objective To investigate the critical value of timed "up and go" test (TUGT) and analyze the risk factors of fall in Chongqing elderly. Methods A total of 1 200 elderly people were subjected by ...stratified random sampling from 3 hospitals, 3 communities and 3 nursing homes in Chongqing. Their demographic characteristics, educational level, underlying diseases, long-term medication history and fall history within 1 year were investigated. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of falls. TUGT was performed on all the subjects, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was drawn to determine the critical value of TUGT, and its efficacy in predicting falls was analyzed. Results The intra-group correlation coefficient of TUGT was highly correlated (ICC=0.961, 95%CI: 0.956~0.965), and the Cronbach α coefficient was 0.980. 〔目的〕Timed Up and Go ...Test（TUG）の慣性センサデータからイベントを検出する方法の妥当性を確認し，速度条件の違いによる運動相の変化を明らかにすること．〔対象と方法〕健常成人32名を対象とし，通常速度と最大速度のTUGを慣性センサと三次元動作解析装置で同時に計測した．得られた2つのデータから6つのイベントを検出し，出現時間の関係性を検討した．また，速度条件間で各運動相の所要時間の変化率の差を検討した．〔結果〕慣性センサと三次元動作解析装置との間で，全てのイベントで出現時間に有意な相関を認めた．異なる速度条件では歩行相のみ有意な変化率を認めた．〔結語〕慣性センサからTUGの運動相を検出可能であり，速度条件の違いは歩行相にのみ変化をもたらすことが示唆された．
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the results of the dual-task Timed Up and Go test and the clinical outcomes in patients with chronic dizziness/vertigo. A total of ...18 patients with dizziness/vertigo were included in the study. The patients were evaluated by the Timed Up and Go test (TUG), dual-task Timed Up and Go test (TUGdt), Dizziness Handicap Inventory (DHI), Activities-Specific Balance Confidence Scale (ABC scale), Dynamic Gait Index (DGI), and Functional Gait Assessment (FGA). The difference between the results of TUG and TUGdt was defined as ΔTUG. We analyzed the correlation between the results of each evaluation using Pearson product-moment correlation and Spearman's rank correlation coefficient. Significant correlations were found between the results of TUG-TUGdt, TUG-FGA, TUGdt-ΔTUG, ΔTUG-ABC scale, and DGI-FGA. Dual task during gait was found to be related to the self-efficacy in activities of daily living. Dual task during gait could be influenced by psychological factors. TUGdt may be useful to assess the gait performance reflecting psychological aspects.
Introduction
There are no validated, practical, and quantitative measures of disease severity in Lambert‐Eaton myasthenia (LEM).
Methods
Data from the Effectiveness of 3,4‐Diaminopyridine in ...Lambert‐Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome (DAPPER) trial were analyzed to assess triple timed up‐and‐go (3TUG) reproducibility and relationships between 3TUG times and other measures of LEM severity.
Results
The coverage probability technique showed ≥0.90 probability for an acceptable 3TUG difference of ≤0.2, indicating that it is reproducible in LEM patients. The correlation between 3TUG times and lower extremity function scores was significant in subjects who continued and in those who were withdrawn from 3,4‐diaminopyridine free base. Worsening patient‐reported Weakness Self‐Assessment Scale and Investigator Assessment of Treatment Effect scores corresponded with prolongation of 3TUG times.
Discussion
The 3TUG is reproducible, demonstrates construct validity for assessment of lower extremity function in LEM patients, and correlates with changes in patient and physician assessments. These findings, along with prior reliability studies, indicate 3TUG is a valid measure of disease severity in LEM.
Introducción: Los sujetos con Artritis Reumatoidea (AR) tienen un elevado riesgo de caídas respecto a la población sana. El Timed Up and Go Test (TUG) es utilizado para predecir el riesgo de caídas ...pero no ha sido validado en sujetos con AR. Objetivos: El objetivo primario fue establecer la validez predictiva y la validez concurrente a velocidad habitual y máxima segura en sujetos con diagnóstico de AR. El objetivo secundario fue establecer si el TUG tiene mayor valor predictivo evaluado a velocidad habitual o a velocidad máxima segura. Sujetos y método: Los sujetos fueron ingresados mediante muestreo no probabilístico consecutivo. Para la validez concurrente se correlacionó el TUG con la Berg Balance Scale (BBS) y el Test de Marcha de 10 metros (TM10m). La validez predictiva fue calculada utilizando curva de características operativas para el receptor y el área bajo la curva. Resultados: Se evaluaron 115 participantes para la validez concurrente y 98 para la predictiva. Las correlaciones entre el TUG a velocidad habitual y el TUG a velocidad máxima segura con la BBS y el TM10m resultaron fuertes (rango de -0,65 a -0,78). La capacidad predictiva del TUG resultó baja tanto a velocidad habitual como a velocidad máxima segura. Conclusión: El TUG en sus dos versiones presentó una fuerte validez concurrente al ser comparado con la BBS y el TM10m. El TUG presentó una baja validez predictiva tanto a velocidad habitual como a velocidad máxima segura para predecir el riesgo de caídas en sujetos con AR.

Introduction
We report the reliability of a new measure, the triple‐timed up‐and‐go (3TUG) test, for assessing clinical function in patients with Lambert‐Eaton myasthenia (LEM).
Methods
...Intrarater reproducibility and interrater agreement of the 3TUG test were assessed in 25 control participants, 24 patients with non‐LEM neuromuscular disease, and 12 patients with LEM. The coverage probability (CP) method was the primary measure of reproducibility and agreement. The a priori acceptable range was < 20% difference in 3TUG test times and a CP ≥0.90 confirmed agreement.
Results
CP values > 0.90 for intrarater and interrater tests confirmed acceptable reproducibility and agreement for all groups.
Discussion
The 3TUG test is a quick, noninvasive, and reproducible measure that is easy to perform, measures clinically important weakness in LEM patients, and requires little training. Additional evaluation in a larger number of LEM patients is in progress to validate the 3TUG test as a clinical measure in LEM. Muscle Nerve 57: 136–139, 2017
Zusammenfassung. Zur exakten Erfassung von Schmerzen, funktionellen Einschränkungen und gesundheitsbezogener Lebensqualität bei Patienten mit degenerativen Wirbelsäulenerkrankungen existiert eine ...Reihe validierter Messinstrumente. Neben der Beurteilung durch den Therapeuten sowie «subjektiven» patientenorientierten Messmethoden (PROMs) wurde in den vergangenen Jahren der «Timed Up and Go»(TUG)-Test systematisch untersucht und als krankheitsspezifisches Messinstrument validiert. Heute kann eine objektive funktionelle Einschränkung (OFI = Objective Functional Impairment) in wenigen Sekunden und kostenfrei mithilfe einer Smartphone-Applikation bestimmt werden. Die Bestimmung von Z- oder T-Werten, die TUG-Testergebnisse in Relation zur Populationsnorm setzen, ermöglichen eine alters- und geschlechtsadjustierte Ergebnisinterpretation. Diese Übersichtsarbeit fasst die aktuellen Erkenntnisse zu objektiven Messmethoden bei degenerativen Wirbelsäulenpathologien inklusive deren Vor- und Nachteile zusammen und vergleicht sie mit den bisherigen Beurteilungsmethoden für funktionelle Outcomes.
