As the role of robot-assisted surgery continues to expand, development of standardised and validated training programmes is becoming increasingly important.
To provide guidance on an optimised ...“train-the-trainer” (TTT) structured educational programme for surgical trainers, in which delegates learn a standardised approach to training candidates in skill acquisition. We aim to describe a TTT course for robotic surgery based on the current published literature and to define the key elements within a TTT course by seeking consensus from an expert committee formed of key opinion leaders in training.
The project was carried out in phases: a systematic review of the current evidence was conducted, a face-to-face meeting was held in Philadelphia, and then an initial survey was created based on the current literature and expert opinion and sent to the committee. Thirty-two experts in training, including clinicians, academics, and industry, contributed to the Delphi process. The Delphi process underwent three rounds of survey in total. Additions to the second- and third-round surveys were formulated based on the answers and comments from the previous rounds. Consensus opinion was defined as ≥80% agreement.
There was 100% consensus that there was a need for a standardized TTT course in robotic surgery. A consensus was reached in multiple areas, including the following: (1) definitions and terminologies, (2) qualifications to attend, (3) course objectives, (4) precourse considerations, (5) requirement of e-learning, (6) theory and course content, and (7) measurement of outcomes and performance level verification. The resulting formulated curriculum showed good internal consistency among experts, with a Cronbach alpha of 0.90.
Using the Delphi methodology, we achieved an international consensus among experts to develop and reach content validation for a standardised TTT curriculum for robotic surgery training. This defined content lays the foundation for developing a proficiency-based progression model for trainers in robotic surgery. This TTT curriculum will require further validation.
As the role of robot-assisted surgery continues to expand, development of standardised and validated training programmes is becoming increasingly important. There is currently a lack of high-level evidence on how best to train trainers in robot-assisted surgery. We report a consensus view on a standardised “train-the trainer” curriculum focused on robotic surgery. It was formulated by training experts from the USA and Europe, combining current evidence for training with experts’ knowledge of surgical training.

Introduction: This study aims to identify the psychometric properties of developmental tools observed by the learner and the trainer in the process of nursing training.
Methods: In this study, 200 ...nursing students of Abhar University of Medical Sciences (110 males and 90 females), completed the perceived incivility tools in learner -trainer interactions. To evaluate the reliability, Cronbach alpha retest and calculation methods were used. To determine the structural validity of the tools, exploratory factor analysis was used.
Result: After modification of the questions of scale, reliability was found to be acceptable. Exploration factor analysis revealed the first part of the scale containing four components thus determining 60.72% of the total variance. These components are referred to as: students' incivility in the classroom, lack of motivation, lack of planning and preparation of the learners, and the indifference of the learners to the opinions of others. The second part of the scale contains three components determining 64.69% of the total variance. These components are also referred to as incivility of professors in the classroom, ineffective teaching and lack of effective interpersonal communication skills.
Conclusion: The above tool bears an acceptable validity for examining the perceived incivility between learner and trainer in the nursing training process and is suitable for Iranian students so that it can be deployed for other universities of medical sciences across the country.
On a Frequency Modulation (FM) receiver there is an interference caused which is usually due to the distance and strong signal from the FM transmitter carried to the FM receiver device. The system ...used PLL (Phase Loocked Loop) system on the oscillator. An oscillator is an electronic device that produces a voltage signal output. The use of oscillators as the carrier of the signal and the message signal produces waves with a certain frequency value, and has a frequency shift of 56,25KHz. The output of the FM receiver is a signal containing of the FM transmitter in the 88MHz-108MHz range. The signals received from the transmitter are short audio and sine signals, so they can be analyzed based on their waves in oscilloscopes and matlab experiments. In this trainer, there are tuners, IF amplifier, multiplexer demodulator, and digital counter frequency. The IC used is LA1260, LA3361, LB3500, LC7265. The result of making an FM receiver trainer get a satisfaction value of the practical test 80,12% based on aspects of media appearance, technical quality and usefulness. Background/Aims: The coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has impacted the training of medical trainees internationally. The aim of this study was to assess the global impact of COVID-19 ...on endoscopy training from the perspective of endoscopy trainers and to identify strategies implemented to mitigate the impact on trainee education.
Methods: Teaching faculty of gastroenterology (GI) training programs globally were invited to complete a 36-question web-based survey to report the characteristics of their training programs and the impact of COVID-19 on various aspects of endoscopy training, including what factors decisions were based on.
Results: The survey response rate was 52.6% (305 out of 580 individuals); 92.8% reported a negative impact on endoscopy training, with suspension of elective procedures (77.1%) being the most detrimental factor. Geographic variations were noted, with European programs reporting the lowest percentage of trainee participation in procedures. A higher proportion of trainees in the Americas were allowed to continue performing procedures, and trainers from the Americas reported receiving the greatest support for endoscopy teaching.
Conclusions: This study demonstrated that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant negative impact on GI endoscopy training internationally, as reported by endoscopy trainers. Focus-optimizing endoscopy training and assessment of competencies are necessary to ensure adequate endoscopy training. Clin Endosc 2021;54:678-687
Squared planar markers have become a popular method for pose estimation in applications such as autonomous robots, unmanned vehicles and virtual trainers. The markers allow estimating the position of ...a monocular camera with minimal cost, high robustness, and speed. One only needs to create markers with a regular printer, place them in the desired environment so as to cover the working area, and then registering their location from a set of images.
Nevertheless, marker detection is a time-consuming process, especially as the image dimensions grows. Modern cameras are able to acquire high resolutions images, but fiducial marker systems are not adapted in terms of computing speed. This paper proposes a multi-scale strategy for speeding up marker detection in video sequences by wisely selecting the most appropriate scale for detection, identification and corner estimation. The experiments conducted show that the proposed approach outperforms the state-of-the-art methods without sacrificing accuracy or robustness. Our method is up to 40 times faster than the state-of-the-art method, achieving over 1000 fps in 4 K images without any parallelization.

Every citizen has the same right to obtain education. This opportunity also includes the Deaf. Deaf are those who lose hearing where a person cannot perceive various stimuli through the sense of ...hearing. Due to a lack of hearing, Deaf children need special tutoring methods. This study reveals the use of one of the methods referred to as the Speech Trainer method. This research is a qualitative descriptive field research to reveal the technique of using Speech Trainer in Guidance for Deaf Children at SLB Pancaran Iman. The results showed that the use of the Speech Trainer as a tool was deliberately designed for deaf people with a high level of sensitivity. The presence of a speech trainer is assisted by animations that demonstrate the movement of breathing and pronunciation exercises. The animation movement is repeated according to the will of the deaf child. To control the words or sentences produced, use a voice recognition that can judge whether or not the sound produced by a child with hearing impairment is correct. With the use of the Speech Trainer, the deaf students are helped in the communication process of their tutoring.
To classify various sonar dataset, this paper proposes the use of the newly developed Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA) algorithm for training Multi-Layer Perceptrons Neural Network (MLPs NN). ...Similar to other evolutionary classifiers, trapping in local minima, slow convergence rate, and non-real-time classification are three shortcomings it confronts in solving high-dimensional problems. Due to the novelty of WOA trainer, there is little in the literature regarding decreasing aforementioned deficiencies. In this paper, we also utilize seven spiral shapes to improve the performance of the WOA trainer. To assess the performance of the proposed classifiers, these networks will be evaluated using the three real-world practical sonar dataset. For endorsement, the results are compared to five popular meta-heuristics trainers include Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Gravitational Search Algorithm (GSA), Ant Colony Optimization (ACO), Gray Wolf Optimization (GWO), and WOA. The results show that new classifiers indicate better performance than the other benchmark algorithms, in terms of avoidance from getting stuck at local minima, classification accuracy, and convergence speed.
