Craig Menin says he's proud of his careful selection of tenants. For instance, clothing retailer Izod is coming in the next couple of weeks, "one of only a handful of stores in the country," Menin ...said. Menin says he's likes local stores, too: "Otherwise, why take a separate trip to see us?" Farther south, CityPlace is taking a different tack. The shopping and dining complex in West Palm Beach wants more national retailers that can take the blows of the fickle retail market. Two independent retailers say they'd like to be at CityPlace, if only they were wanted. One retailer, Artisans, had a CityPlace store for the past three years. But manager Kate Dingle says the store has closed because CityPlace was not interested in striking a new deal with the company, which specializes in blown glass and metal art. "It's a shame," Dingle wrote in a recent e-mail.
