    Developmental screening and early identification of children having developmental delay or developmental problems is one of the essential tasks ofpediatricians and health care workers responsible for ... children's primary health care. Although limited with complexity and variability of the child's development, the Denver Developmental Screening Test (DDST) - Denver II is themost widely used, simple, rapid, sensitive and reliable instrument for developmental screening of children from birth to 6 years of age. This article describes the Denver Developmental Screening Test, Denver II and the standardization of Denver II in Slovenia.
