    Lily of the valley contains cardiotonic glycosides, dugs that effect the heart. They are present in all plant parts except for the fleshy seed coat. Dues to these drugs, lily of the valley belongs ... among poisonous plants. The first effect when consuming plants containing cardiotonic glycosides are gastrointestinal irritations accompanied by nausea and dizzines. Disturbances of the nervous system are shown as apathy, confusion, agitation, concentrationproblems and sight problems. In the case of poisoning, vomiting must be induced and medical help sought.
