    The presented laboratory services include services provided by clinical biochemical laboratories in the University Medical Centre Ljubljana, regional hospitals and some specialised hospitals, by ... laboratories for medical microbiology in regional Institutes of Public Health and in the Institute of Public Health of the Republic of Slovenia, Institute of Microbiology, Institute of Pulmonary Diseases and Tuberculosis, Golnik, and Department of Dermatology, University Medical Centre Ljubljana and, by laboratories of sanitary and food chemistry and sanitary microbiology in regional Institutes of Public Health and in the Institute of Public Health of the Republic of Slovenia. In addition to samples examination, the work of these laboratories involves the formulation of uniform laboratory service guidelines and introduction of modern laboratory techniques.
