  • Dielektrične lastnosti termično modificiranega lesa : diplomsko delo (univerzitetni študij) = The dielectric properties of thermally modified wood : graduation thesis (university studies)
    Valner, Klemen, 1980-
Mass, frequency and density influence on dielectric features of spruce (Picea abies L.) and beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) wood, before and after thermal modification of wood disks, were researched. For ... each of the wood species disks were prepared, and their dielectric properties measured at 22 different frequencies (79,4 kHz - 10 MHz). They were thermally modified at different temperatures (190, 200, 210 and 243 °C); after that their dielectric properties were measured again. Measurements, according to the Non-Contacting Method, were performed with AGILENT 4285A PRECISION LCR METER. On the basis of the results, it was discovered that increasing the temperature of thermal modification, the change of mass of thermally modified disks rises. Rising the temperature of thermal modification, the dielectric constant of wood disks and the dielectric loss tangent decrease. Rising the frequency, the dielectric constant of thermally modified wood disks decreases. The thermally modified wood species of higher density also have higher dielectric constants.
