    Digitalization has hardly touched the Slovene academic libraries. If this is becoming the only possible way in the field of management and organiyation of work in the libraries, there are problems ... which still have to be solved on the level of data bases funds. The biggest problem are and remain connected to obtaining, marking, indexing and saving the electronic dokuments. Looking from the point of view and organization this is the problem, which can be delt with only by the well organized and the most contemporary equipped centres. In this respect Slovene academic libraries with their out-of-date and used equipment are really falling behind in the development and there is no way they could upgrade the possibilities which have in the last few years opened on the loveracademic levels. Therefore moderniying of the library system should be a priority task for the Universitt entering 21st century.
