  • Nil ductility temperature of aged and non-aged alloyed steels
    Vojvodič-Tuma, Jelena
The tests on microalloyed steels have shown that the aging of these steels shifts the Charpy-V transition temperature towards higher values, while the nil ductility temperature determined with Drop ... Weight Test is reduced. The nil ductility temperature can be predicted for aged steels in that way that we connect Charpy impact values vs. test temperature with the stress intensity factor K in such a way, that the diagrams have a common ordinate. This definition by monogram is based on the found fact that the nil ductility temperature ▫$T_{NDT}$▫ for steels in different conditions correspond to a certain value of ▫$K_{IR}$▫ determined for a given geometry of the specimen.
