  • Dry deposition measurements of ozone over a spruce forest in the Triglav national park, Slovenia : a contribution to subproject TOR

    Due to the fact, that this kind of measurements based on the flux-gradient method were performed in Slovenia for the first time, the experimental site was chosen in a spruce forest, which is the most ... widely spread type of the coniferous forest in the country. The field campaign was organised at the high plateau Pokljuka (1220 m a.s.l) in the Alpine area, south of the Central Alps in the Triglav National Park during the time period from October 12 to November 3, 1994. Forests in such areas live under extreme ecological conditions, as e.g. short vegetation period, a shallow soil layer, cold winters and gusty winds. So the obtained results should provide a better understanding of the dry deposition onto alpine forest ecosystems. In the poster the results of the calculations of deposition velocities and depositionfluxes of ozone based on the in-situ measurements, which were performed during the field measurement campaign, will be presented.
