    The author presents the status form of the British law "private company limited by shares" i.e. Limited Liability Company-Ltd. Generally, this form of organisation corresponds to the Slovenian ... limited liability company, however, it is far more flexible organisation-wise and easier to establish. After having joined the European Union, this type of organisation became attractive for Slovenian entrepreneurs, since they can establish a company in Great Britain and operate as its affiliate in Slovenia. The author presents the basic organisational characteristics of an Ltd company and also the legal aspects of its business operations in Slovenia.
