  • Importance and distribution of tourism impacts on environment in Slovenia

    Tourism is a rapidly growing industry. As a consequence also its impact on environment are of growing importance. The role of tourism as a sorce of environmental pressures is not easily determined, ... since its impacts are similar to the impacts of other human activities and permanent population. Because of that an important task is to find out how much tourism contributes to the occurrence of particular effects. For the purpose of the assessment of spatial distribution of tourism pressures and the contribution of tourism to the environmental impacts in Slovenia available data about tourist accommodations and tourism traffic were used as indicators.
