  • Differences in the level of development of basic motor abilities between young foreign and Slovenian female basketball players

    The study presents the results of some tests of basic motor abilities that were achieved by elite Slovenian female basketball players, aged between 14 and 15, and by their counterparts from 15 ... European countries. Both groups of players were compared and statistically significant differences between them established. The results show that young Slovenian basketball players on average achieve slightly lower results in all tests of basic motor abilities compared to their counterparts from other European countries. The differences identified in the tests of explosive strength of arms, take-off reaction time and speed strength and elasticity of legs were statistically significant.
