  • Zu hohe Agency-Kosten als Krisenursache = Agency costs as a source of crisis in corporation
Rus, Matej, 1973- ; Širec, Karin
ǂThe ǂseparation of ownership and control is one of basic characteristics of a modern corporation. A conflict of interests emerges which causes agency costs, i.e. transaction costs, costs of moral ... hazard, information costs and all other costs induced by attempts to bring managers under control. The control of shareholders over managers is linked up with agency costs, and a trade off between decreasing shareholders return in case of reduced control and increasing agency costs in case of intensified control exists. In the paper we employ the theory of principal and agent to look for activities that could decrease agency costs which we consider to be one of possible sources of crisis in the company.
