  • Anglicizmi v slovenskih in nemških tiskanih medijih : diplomska seminarska naloga

    This bachelor thesis deals with the use of anglicisms in Slovene and German print media. Our study is based on a parallel corpus comprised of original articles from the Die Zeit newspaper and ... corresponding Slovene translations published in the Global magazine in 2012. We want to determine which language uses anglicisms more freaquently. The collected anglicisms are counted and categorised. We compare the number of anglicisms in each article and the overall figure in both languages. We classify the data by word class and thematic categories and try to determine whether the subject of the text influences the use of anglicisms and which word class is more typical of anglicisms. We also wish to determine, what the ten most frequent anglicisms in both languages are.
