  • Integrated GP-GA environment for solving of manufacturing problems

    The paper shows the concept of an integrated Genetic Programming and Genetic Algorithm environment for solving manufacturing problems using evolutionary computation. If the mathematical model of the ... manufacturing process is already known we only have to optimse its parameters, but if it is not known, then we have to find it. The integrated environment is based on genetic programming and genetic algorithms. Because of the generatily of the GP-GA environment, and prticularly of its GP part, it can be effectively used in various production domains. At the end, a practical example showing the genetic development of the equation for the flow curve of metal material is presented.
