    Development and modernization of CDS (cable distribution system) in Slovenia are going in two primary direction. The first one is realization of the feedback bandwidth for the additional service's ... (Internet, telemetry's, pay-TV...) and second one is integration of the local CDS in the network. Both activities demand a great investiments and are bringing a lots of new unsolved problems. Because of so many problems which are connected with the modernization and reconstruction of CDS, we have decided to build the laboratory model of CCS (cable communication system). The basic purpose of this model CCS is to testing the new cable communication equipment. The article describe the model of the CCS and some tests for checking the maximum data transfer through CCS.
