The article analyses the legislative polices of states that joined the European Union in 2004 in the field of gender-based violence. It is in that context that the implementation of EU directives and recommendations concerning gender-based violence in the family, sexual harassment, sexual exploitation and trafficking are presented and analyzed. The article also asks who the key actors were that influenced the process of amending the legislation and introducing better solutions, when these measures were more frequent, and in which areas they were missing.
