This paper describes realization of system for monitoring and data acquisition from digital temperature sensor. The system demonstrated application of virtual instrumentation and was implemented using custom developed HW&SW. Custom realized PCB was built around PIC16F877 microcontroller. The sensor is connected with board via the I2C interface. After the MCU is programmed the system can operate displaying the measured value on the LCD and/or using GUI.
