À partir d’un extrait des Souffrances du jeune Werther , « Chaque arbre, chaque haie est un bouquet de fleurs ; on voudrait se voir changé en hanneton pour nager dans cette mer de parfums et y puiser sa nourriture », et de l’enchaînement et l’enchâssement des propositions qui le composent, nous voudrions traiter d’une question, à faces multiples, relevant de la sémantique référentielle et logique, d’une part, de la sémantique textuelle, de l’autre. La question que pose ce « contexte évolutif » (nous l’appelons ainsi pour bien mettre l’accent sur le double aspect référentiel et textuel, autrement dit con- et cotextuel, de notre approche et de nos analyses) est la manière dont le processus évolutif, dont nous étudierons d’abord l’aspect référentiel et modal, à la fois se réalise dans et par le texte et a des répercussions sur l’enchaînement des propositions qui en rendent compte. De ce point de vue, et en arrière-plan épistémologique, se posera la question du modèle de « syntaxe » utile pour étudier cet enchaînement en « pour » dans ce type de co(n)texte. The question posed by this “evolving context” (we call it that way to emphasize the double aspect of our approach and our analyzes, referential and textual, con- and cotextual) is the way in which the evolutionary process, of which we will first study the referential and modal aspect, both takes place in and thanks to the text and has repercussions on the sequence of clauses which represent it. From this point of view, and in the epistemological background, the question of the “syntax” useful for studying this concatenation in “for” in this type of co(n)text will arise.
