ONGs, foundations, the State, and others, which has had repercussions within the communities in various ways. Based on ethnographic research, this article deals with ontological conflicts between a high Andean community located in the province of Chimborazo, Ecuador, and a space intended for biological protection and conservation. Initial reflections on the contrast that exists between the Andean relational ontology of the inhabitants of the Ozogoche community and the western ontology exposed in the conservation policies of the Sangay National Park are exposed, and how these generate processes of hybridization, delegitimization, and resignification of the practices and knowledge of the community.
