Due to the increase of the number of fresh university graduates year by year, and the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic and the economic situation at home and abroad, the employment situation of fresh university graduates has become more severe. Students have to face two problems at the same time: graduation thesis (design) and difficult employment. Therefore, this paper analyzes the contradiction between these two problems and puts forward countermeasures to solve this contradiction, which is helpful to improve the quality of undergraduate theses and increase the employment rate.
