Cosgrove, MD, chairman of the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, has joined its Board of Directors, effective immediately. Dr. Cosgrove earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, and served as an intern and resident at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. He completed his graduate training through Massachusetts General Hospital and Brook General Hospital in London, England. Since joining the Cleveland Clinic Foundation nearly 20 years ago, Dr. Cosgrove has served on a variety of surgical boards and committees throughout the world, and on the editorial boards of numerous prestigious journals. Dr. Cosgrove is also listed as inventor on several patents related to technology for cardiac surgery.
