This review describes the changes produced by the invasión of the urban environment into the natural habitat of triatomines, especially Panstrongylus geniculatus , known vectors of Chagas' disease. Changes in habitat are described and the colonization of domestic environments by triatomines, as well as the importance of these changes and their impact on transmission of Chagas' disease. Some measures are proposed to limit the presence of triatomines in urban dwellings
