The LOOK algorithm is widely used in disk scheduling algorithms for its short seek path. Because its dispatching presents the corresponding characteristics of one-way priority and is similar to the elevator dispatching process, the LOOK algorithm is used to realize elevator dispatching. Through PLC logic operation, the elevator can run stably and efficiently with LOOK algorithm. At the same time, it can reduce the average riding and waiting time of passengers, and improve the operation efficiency of elevator.
