In the midst of globalisation, intercultural dialogue has become a necessity in today's society, contributing to the development of the ability to learn from experience and to empathetically resonate with other points of view. Interculturality, being a set of psychological, relational, group or institutional processes, involves interaction between different cultural communities, which are in mutual exchange but at the same time preserve their cultural identity. Interculturality is a UNESCO objective, which sees it as a dynamic relationship between the development of relations between different cultural groups, with a view to equitable interaction and the possibility of exchanging cultural expressions through dialogue. Interculturality is also a component of the new secondary school curricula (2017), as the need for effective participation of today's young people in social and professional life is well known. Pupils must actively face the multi-ethnic and multicultural character of society in order to relate to this diversity in a constructive and positive way. Intercultural dialogue can help to bring young people into line with European values and educational standards, create mechanisms for collaboration and promote multicultural experiences.
