Ajdovščina hill rises above the village of Rodik, along the road between Kozina and Divača. The remains of a fortified settlement testify to the prehistoric and late antique settlement of this hill. The foundations of the settlement date back to the Iron Age. The finds also provide evidence of a later aboriginal settlement in early antiquity, while the ruins visible today are the remains of a fortification dating from late antiquity. The hills above Rodik have a rich mythical tradition. Inspired by this tradition, the locals of Rodik have created the Mythical Park, a beautiful mythical landscape with numerous carved sculptures with narrative motifs. At the entrance to the Mythical Park is a modern experience centre that takes visitors into the mythical world. You can visit the Mythical Park on foot or by bicycle.
