The Z component of magnetic field strength in the rotational single sheet tester

The z component of vector H was compared in round rotational single sheet tester (RRSST) with sinusoidal distribution of MMF and square rotational single sheet tester (SRSST) with chamfered poles in ...the measuring region (; 20mm) using an axial Hall probe. In both RSSTs two samples (grain oriented MOH27 and non-oriented EN330-50) were measured under "pure rotational magnetic flux condition". The z component of magnetic field strength in low magnetic flux densities shows an expected characteristic versus radial distance from the centre of the sample and it is almost zero in the centre of the sample. At higher magnetic flux densities the z component of magnetic field strength becomes much more marked in the measuring region and it is non zero in the centre of the sample.
