Fibre reinforced shotcrete in waterway tunnel lining

Fibre reinforced shotcrete can also sucessfully substitute conventional shotcrete in the building of a tunnel. Its advantages and the results of investigations within the framework of execution in ...the experimental areas of lining in the waterway tunnel Fatnićko ppolje - accumulation "Bileća" are given in the paper. Comparative analysis between conventional shotcrete and steel fibre reinforced shotcrete with TRIAS steel fibres and polypropylene fibre reinforced shotcrete with polypropylene fibres REDS and LID has been conducted. All shotcrete had admixture BS1 containing silica fume. Results of laboratory investigations into the properties of shotcrete are discussed and some of them are compared with results of investigations carried out on-site.
