The research focuses on evaluating the complex and multifaced nature of both economic and security diplomacy, including state-to-state and state-to-non-state alliances. This inseparable link between security and economy shapes the overall policy objectives of nations. Through extensive literature and documents analysis and case studies, it becomes evident that economic and security issues are highly interdependent. By recognizing this interconnectedness of economic and security diplomacy, nations and international organizations can craft constructive international business approaches. Adaptation and collaboration with more influential entities is necessary in order for smaller states such as Montenegro, which served as a case study in this thesis, to navigate this intricate web of foreign economic and security relations, and international business.
