Mechano-sorptive behaviour of different categories of spruce wood

A lot of experimental work in creep behaviour of wood has been done lately. Wood under load, when exposed to moisture content changes exhibits much greater deformation as the wood in constant climate ...conditions. The simultaneous action of load and changing MC is called mechano-sorptive effect (MSE). The results of the experiments published so far disagree very often because of conflicting experimental conditions and might be even misledding. The real cause and the mechanism of MSE can still not be fully explained. Due to this confusing situation we tried to plan our experiments in such a way that we could clarify these phenomena.
