The article aims to tackle the following problem: why was Petrić the only philosopher who, within sixteenth-century discussion on ars historica, decided to employ the myth? The answer to this problem ...is being sought through the analysis of the myth of history (una lunga historia… de’corrompimenti del mondo, & de’suoi rinascimenti), comprised in the dialogue “Il Contarino, overo che, sia l’historia” (15a–18a) in Petrić’s work Della historia diece dialoghi (1560). viewed formally, mythological account places Petrić in the tradition of poetical theology, in which, through ingenuity and inspiration, a poet lays the foundations of human history and knowledge as a whole. Given the contents, this myth owes greatly to Petrić’s leaning on diverse traditions of the antiquity and the Renaissance. In the manner of a poet theologian, Petrić endeavours to combine different traditions into a unique picture and from the chaotic res gestae to create the first prerequisite for the history: the past as its subject-matter.
Problem kojega članak obrađuje jest: zašto Petrić jedini unutar rasprave o ars historica tijekom 16. stoljeća poseže za mitom? Na taj se problem pokušava odgovoriti analizom mita o povijesti (una ...lunga historia… de’corrompimenti del mondo, & de’suoi rinascimenti), sadržanog u dijalogu »Il Contarino, overo che, sia l’historia« (15a–18a) iz Petrićevih della historia diece dialoghi (1560). S formalne strane, mitsko kazivanje svrstava Petrića u tradiciju pjesničke teologije, u kojoj preko ingenija i zanosa pjesnik utemeljuje ljudsku povijest i cjelinu znanja. Sa sadržajne strane, ovaj mit predstavlja rezultat Petrićeva nadahnuća različitim antičkim i renesansnim tradicijama. U maniri pjesnika teologa, Petrić nastoji različite tradicije povezati u jedinstvenu sliku kako bi od kaotičnih res gestae stvorio prvi preduvjet historije: povijest kao njezin predmet.
Prvo englesko djelo o umijeću historije (ars historica) napisao je Thomas Blundeville, a objavljeno je 1574. godine pod naslovom The true order and Methode of wryting and reading Hystories. Svoje ...djelo Blundeville je sastavio prema djelima dvaju pisaca: Della historia diece dialoghi Frane Petrića i Delle osservationi et avvertimenti che aver si debbono nel legger delle historie Giacoma Aconcija.
Zbog toga što izabire samo drugu polovicu Petrićevih dijaloga o povijesti, od šestog do desetog, kao i zbog toga što izabrane dijaloge ne prevodi u cijelosti, Blundevilleovo se djelo može smatrati zbirkom. Izabrane dijelove Petrićevih dijaloga Blundeville je mnogo puta kratio ili ispuštao, a često se služio i inverzijom te interpolacijom. Zato je Blundevilleovo djelo prerada, a ne prijevod Petrićeva djela. U svojoj preradi engleski autor ignorira Petrićeve teoretske napore i donosi zbirku pravila u kojoj prevladava Blundevilleov interes za utilitarnim karakterom historije.
»Pregled recepcije Oswalda Spenglera u Hrvatskoj« prati sekundarnu literaturu – uglavnom članke – o filozofu poznatom kao piscu Propasti Zapada. Hrvatska kritika osvrće se direktno na Spenglera od ...1924. Do 1938. godine. Ovdje su spomenuti članci Ivana Esiha, Julija Makanca, Artura Kullyja, Milana Šufflaya, Josipa Horvata, Vladimira Vukovića, Ante Lovrića, Frana Šojata, Mirka Kus-Nikolajeva i Zdenka Vernića. U razdoblju koje slijedi sve do 90-tih godina XX. stoljeća recepcije o Spengleru gotovo nema, osim sporadičnog navođenja. Na prijelomu stoljeća zamjetan je probuđeni interes za Spenglera, jer se ne pojavljuju samo članci o filozofu (autora Ivana Devčića, Rajka Odobaše i Josipa Vrbošića), nego i prvi prijevodi Spenglerovih djela na hrvatski jezik (čovjek i tehnika, 1991, prevela Vera Moskovi_ i Propast Zapada, 1998/2000, preveo Nerkez Smailagić). Dok je novija recepcija potaknuta aktualnošću Spenglerovih misli u okviru globalizacijskih procesa, dotle je starija recepcija zaokupljena prikazom njegova djela te kritičkim osvrtom ili odobravanjem Spenglerovih radikalnih misli o društvu i ratu. U toj se recepciji posebno ističe hrvatski filozof povijesti Julije Makanec koji ukazuje na anticipatorsku ulogu Spenglera za budući razvoj metafizike, mada se od njega kritički distancira u ulozi obrane humanističkog poimanja čovjeka. Makanec također ukazuje na zapostavljenost čovjeka kao individuuma u povijesti – kod Hegela i Spenglera – koja se treba ispraviti u sintezi Kantove individualističke etike i filozofske koncepcije povijesti. Ovaj pregled, međutim, ustanovljuje nedostatnost dosadašnjeg pristupa Spengleru, jer se filozof nigdje ne tematizira u cjelini njegovog opusa, nego ostaje i danas autor Propasti Zapada.

Naphthalanotherapy (NT) is a therapeutic procedure that uses mineral oil obtained from petroleum. The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of the duration of NT combined with an ...individually adjusted rehabilitation program (IARP) on pain, morning stiffness (MS), fatigue, and physical function in patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA). A total of 29 consecutive patients with PsA were divided into two groups. Group 1 (n=17) participated in a two-week and Group 2 (n=12) in a three-week intervention program. Pain (using the Visual Analogue Scale - VAS), fatigue (VAS and Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy-Fatigue - FACIT-F), duration of MS (minutes), and physical function (Health Assessment Questionnaire - HAQ) were assessed before and after therapy. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS version 20, with P<0.05. There was a significant improvement in VAS-pain, VAS-fatigue, MS, HAQ, and FACIT-F before vs after therapy: Group 1:5.88±1.62 vs 3.94±1.25, P=0.001; 6.59±1.73 vs 4.35±1.73, P=0.001; 35.47±31.64 vs 23.71±29.30, P=0.001; 1.43±0.78 vs 1.23±0.74, P=0.001; 25.88±10.89 vs 30.71±10.65, P=0.009; Group 2: 6.17±1.27 vs 3.92±1.44, P=0.001; 6.50±1.93 vs 3.75±1.71, P=0.001; 38.42±32.00 vs 21.25±17.31, P=0.006; 1.47±0.79 vs 0.93±0.54, P=0.008; 25.00±9.87 vs 36.83±7.20, P=0.001, respectively. Regarding the length of the therapy, significant difference was reached only in FACIT-F (P=0.009). Two-week and three-week NT combined with IARP are equally efficient in reduction of pain and MS, as well as in improving physical function in patients with PsA. The three-week program showed an additional effect on reducing fatigue assessed by the FACIT-F score.
Inflammatory back pain and stiffness are the leading symptoms of ankylosing spondylitis (AS). AS progression leads to substantial functional impairment and can reduce quality of life (QoL). The aim ...of this study was to determine the impact of disease activity on QoL, fatigue, functional status and physical activity.
One hundred and fifty AS patients were included in the study, their body mass index (BMI) was calculated and they completed questionnaires regarding disease activity (The Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index, BASDAI) functional status (The Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Functional Index, BASFI) spinal mobility (The Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Metrology Index, BASMI), physical activity (the International Physical Activity Questionnaire, IPAQ), functional disability (The Health Assessment Questionnaire Disability Index, HAQ-DI), fatigue (The Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy - fatigue, FACIT-F) and QoL (The Short Form Survey-36, SF-36).
Patients with inactive disease (BASDAI<4) had significantly better HAQ scores (p=0.001), SF-36 mental component scores - MCS (65.68±19.54 inactive vs. 46.89±21.78 active disease, p=0.001), SF-36 physical component scores - PCS (median score 56.25 inactive vs. 30.00 active disease, p=0.001) and FACIT-F scores (38.49±10.62 inactive vs. 26.21±10.81 active disease, p=0.001). There was no significant difference in patient's physical activity or BMI regarding disease activity (p=0.564 and p=0.162 respectively). Also, there was no significant difference in BASDAI, BASMI or BASFI scores regarding different BMI categories (p=0.818, p=0.474, p=0.436, respectively).
AS activity increased fatigue, impaired functional ability and QoL, especially the physical component. Although more than half (61.4%) of our patients were categorized as pre-obese or obese according to BMI, this was not related to disease activity, spinal mobility or daily functioning scores. Reported physical activity level had no effect on disease activity. Disease activity influences the course of AS and QoL assessment should be implemented into regular AS evaluation in order to improve treatment outcome.

Za potrebe učenja i interaktivnog preračunavanja koordinata u nebeskim koordinatnim sustavima izrađena je internetska interaktivna (on-line) aplikacija pomoću koje korisnici (studenti, srednjoškolci ...i mnogobrojni ljubitelji astronomije) mogu jednostavno i trenutačno preračunati koordinate u različitim nebeskim koordinatnim sustavima i vizualizirati ih.
U teorijskom dijelu rada objašnjeni su i prikazani sferni astronomski koordinatni sustavi te opisani osnovni elementi koordinatnih sustava. Objašnjeni su i postupci preračunavanja koordinata iz jednog nebeskog koordinatnog sustava u drugi.
Praktični dio rada odnosi se na izradu računalnog programa za preračunavanje koordinata i vizualizaciju te njegovu implementaciju na internet.
