A series of nitrogen-containing compounds was synthesized by Mannich condensation of allylsubstituted derivatives of phenol and o-and p-cresols with formaldehyde and secondary amines. These compounds ...were studied as antimicrobial additives to motor oil (at a content of 1–2 wt %).
ZSM-5 high-silica zeolite was obtained from metakaolinite, Dzhenranchel’sk volcanic ash, and silica gel at
T
= 150–220°C, pH 9–13, and τ = 48–240 h with the use of an organic structure-forming ...additive, butanediol-1,4, in an alkaline solution. Optimum conditions for the synthesis of ZSM-5 zeolite were found (
T
= 200°C, pH 10, τ = 144 h). The catalytic properties of its H-form in vapor-phase esterification of acetic acid (

molar ratio from 1 to 2. Synthesized HZSM-5 showed high activity and selectivity in this reaction.
The purpose of the study was to research the quantitative composition and sensibility to antibiotics of aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms in mouth cavity liquid and parodontal pockets in elderly ...patients with chronical inflammatory diseases of parodont, namely in patients with chronic cataral gingivitis (38 patients), chronic generalized parodontitis (ChQP; 32 patients, easy form) and in patients with ChQP (34 patients) with relatively heavy form. It was established the increases of quantity microorganisms in mouth cavity liquid of patient all of groups in comparison with healthy group. First of all, it was depended mainly from clinical severity of pathological processes. Simultaneously it was observed association of parodontopathogenic microorganisms in patients of all groups and high variability their association, both susceptibility and resistance to antibiotics, used in stomatological practice.
Acquired heart defects have a high prevalence among patients of different age groups and represent a significant social problem. To date, surgery remains the only effective option to treat acquired ...heart disease, and replacement of the dysfunctional heart valves frequently relies on mechanical prosthetic heart valves which implantation requires lifelong anticoagulant therapy with vitamin K antagonists and constant monitoring of international normalised ratio. However, the optimal target range for international normalised ratio values remains poorly defined. Optimisation of the approaches to anticoagulant therapy for this category of patients is becoming increasingly important. This paper highlights the main problems and possible solutions for patients who have undergone implantation of mechanical heart valves and need constant intake of vitamin K antagonists.
Maleic anhydride-styrene-1,4-di(4-isopropenylphenoxy)butane terpolymer was tested as sorbent for treatment of aqueous solutions, including oil-field brines, to remove uranium salts.

-alkanes by the Willamson reaction in the presence of potassium iodide as promoter, aiming to synthesize the corresponding ...monobromosubstituted derivatives and to study their some chemical transformation. Optimal conditions to obtain 1-(4-isopropenylphenoxy)-2-bromoethane, 1-(4-isopropenylphenoxy)-3-bromopropane and 1-(4-isopropenylphenoxy)-4-bromobutane were found. The nitrogen-containing derivatives, inhibitors of a hydrosulfuric corrosion in the water-salt solutions, were obtained on the basis of the first two compounds. The derivatives involving multiple bond and ester-group were synthesized from the third compound. Their incorporation into the polystyrene chains in the process synthesis gives them plasticize properties.
A series of aminomethylated allylphenol derivatives was studied as antimicrobial additives for the jet fuel TS-1. It was found that these compounds at concentrations of 0.25 and 0.5% suppress the ...growth of microorganisms and do not rank below the well-known antibacterial additive 8-hydroxyquinoline in performance; moreover, 2-allyl-6-(dimethylamino)methylphenol,2-allyl-6-(diethylamino)methylphenol, and 2-allyl-6-piperidinomethylphenol are superior to this additive and, as such, can be recommended as effective antimicrobial additives for the TS-1 fuel. The formation of intermolecular and intramolecular hydrogen bonds in the reactants and the synthesized products was also studied.
