We report on a measurement of the $Ω_c^0$ lifetime using $Ω_c^0$ → Ω-π+ decays reconstructed in c data collected by the Belle II experiment and corresponding to 207 fb-1 of integrated e+e- → c ...luminosity. The result, τ ($Ω_c^0$) = 243 ± 48 (stat) ± 11 (syst) fs, agrees with recent measurements indicating that the $Ω_c^0$ is not the shortest-lived weakly decaying charmed baryon.
This biennial
Review summarizes much of particle physics. Using data from previous editions, plus 2778 new measurements from 645 papers, we list, evaluate, and average measured properties of gauge ...bosons, leptons, quarks, mesons, and baryons. We also summarize searches for hypothetical particles such as Higgs bosons, heavy neutrinos, and supersymmetric particles. All the particle properties and search limits are listed in Summary Tables. We also give numerous tables, figures, formulae, and reviews of topics such as the Standard Model, particle detectors, probability, and statistics. Among the 108 reviews are many that are new or heavily revised including those on CKM quark-mixing matrix,

We report the result for a search for the leptonic decay of B+→μ+νμ using the full Belle dataset of 711 fb−1 of integrated luminosity at the ϒ(4S) resonance. In the Standard Model leptonic B-meson ...decays are helicity and Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa suppressed. To maximize sensitivity an inclusive tagging approach is used to reconstruct the second B meson produced in the collision. The directional information from this second B meson is used to boost the observed μ into the signal B-meson rest frame, in which the μ has a monochromatic momentum spectrum. Though its momentum is smeared by the experimental resolution, this technique improves the analysis sensitivity considerably. Analyzing the μ momentum spectrum in this frame we find B(B+→μ+νμ)=(5.3±2.0±0.9)×10−7 with a one-sided significance of 2.8 standard deviations over the background-only hypothesis. This translates to a frequentist upper limit of B(B+→μ+νμ)<8.6×10−7 at 90% confidence level. The experimental spectrum is then used to search for a massive sterile neutrino, B+→μ+N, but no evidence is observed for a sterile neutrino with a mass in a range of 0–1.5 GeV. The determined B+→μ+νμ branching fraction limit is further used to constrain the mass and coupling space of the type II and type III two-Higgs-doublet models.
We present the results of an amplitude analysis of B¯0→J/ψK-π+ decays. A new charged charmoniumlike state Zc(4200)+ decaying to J/ψπ+ is observed with a significance of 6.2σ. The mass and width of ...the Zc(4200)+ are 4196+31-29+17-13 MeV/c2 and 370+70-70+70-132 MeV, respectively; the preferred assignment of the quantum numbers is JP=1+. In addition, we find evidence for Zc(4430)+→J/ψπ+. The analysis is based on a 711 fb-1 data sample collected by the Belle detector at the asymmetric-energy e+e- collider KEKB.
We present a search for the lepton flavor violating decays B^{+}→K^{+}τ^{±}ℓ^{∓}, with ℓ=(e,μ), using the full data sample of 772×10^{6} BBover ¯ pairs recorded by the Belle detector at the KEKB ...asymmetric-energy e^{+}e^{-} collider. We use events in which one B meson is fully reconstructed in a hadronic decay mode. We find no evidence for B^{±}→K^{±}τℓ decays and set upper limits on their branching fractions at the 90% confidence level in the (1-3)×10^{-5} range. The obtained limits are the world's best results.
Using a data sample of 921.9 fb-1 collected with the Belle detector, we study the process of $e^+e^- → D^+_s D_{s1}(2536)^-+c.c.$ via initial-state radiation. We report the first observation of a ...vector charmoniumlike state decaying to $D^+_s D_{s1}(2536)^-+c.c.$ with a significance of $5.9σ$, including systematic uncertainties. The measured mass and width are $(4625.9^{+6.2}_{-6.0}$(stat)$±0.4$(syst)) MeV/$c_2$ and ($49.8^{+13.9}_{-11.5}$(stat)$±4.0$(syst)) MeV, respectively. The product of the $e^+e^- → D^+_s D_{s1}(2536)^-+c.c.$ cross section and the branching fraction of $D_{s1}(2536)^- → \bar{D}^{*0}K^-$ is measured from the $D_s \bar{D}_{s1}(2536)$ threshold to $5.59$ GeV.
The fission Time Projection Chamber (fissionTPC) is a compact (15cm diameter) two-chamber MICROMEGAS TPC designed to make precision cross-section measurements of neutron-induced fission. The actinide ...targets are placed on the central cathode and irradiated with a neutron beam that passes axially through the TPC inducing fission in the target. The 4π acceptance for fission fragments and complete charged particle track reconstruction are powerful features of the fissionTPC which will be used to measure fission cross-sections and examine the associated systematic errors. This paper provides a detailed description of the design requirements, the design solutions, and the initial performance of the fissionTPC.
We report a measurement of the differential cross section of π^0 pair production in single-tag two-photon collisions, y*y->π^0π^0, in e+e- scattering. The cross section is measured for Q^2up to 30 ...GeV^2 is the negative of the invariant mass squared of the tagged photon
We present measurements of the first to fourth moments of the lepton mass squared $q$2 of $B$ → $X_cℓ\overline{ν}_ℓ$ decays for $ℓ = e, μ$ and with $X_c$ a hadronic system containing a charm quark. ...These results use a sample of electron-positron collisions at the $Υ$($4S$) resonance corresponding to 62.8 fb-1 of integrated luminosity and collected by the Belle II 2 experiment in 2019 and 2020. To identify the $X_c$ system and reconstruct $q$2, one of the $B$ mesons from an $Υ$($4S$) → $B\overline{B}$ decay is fully reconstructed in a hadronic decay mode using a multivariate $B$ tagging algorithm. We report raw and central moments for $q$2 > 1.5 $GeV$2=$c$4 up to $q$2 > 8.5 $GeV$2=$c$4, probing up to 77% of the accessible $B$ → $X_cℓ\overline{ν}_ℓ$ phase space. This is the first measurement of moments in the experimentally challenging range of 1.5; 2.5 $GeV$2=$c$4. The results can be used for a new determination of |$V_{cb}$| using inclusive $B$ → $X_cℓ\overline{ν}_ℓ$ decays.
