A presente pesquisa busca estudar mudanças ambientais em virtude do avanço do agronegócio sobre o território da Comunidade Quilombola Morro de São João (CQMSJ), no Estado do Tocantins, e suas ...repercussões sobre as temperaturas de superfície. A agricultura comercial em larga escala, em alguns casos, desconsidera em sua prática os impactos que causam às comunidades tradicionais que vivem no entorno de grandes empreendimentos agrícolas. A comunidade percebe ter vivenciado diversas alterações ambientais em seu entorno, em razão da substituição da vegetação nativa por lavouras comerciais, no local que antes fazia parte de seu território original. Os procedimentos metodológicos se basearam no uso de geotecnologias para estudos de temáticas relacionadas ao clima. Para isso, estimou-se a temperatura de superfície terrestre (TST) sobre o território que abrange a CQMSJ na estação seca de inverno e na estação chuvosa de primavera, por meio de imagens de satélite da série Landsat 7 e 8, em cenários de observação de 1999/2000 e de 2019/2020, referentes a dois momentos: respectivamente, anterior e posterior à expansão agrícola na área de estudo. Os resultados indicam que houve uma variação da temperatura de superfície associada, principalmente, às mudanças ou alterações no uso e na ocupação da terra. O aumento de TST se deu de forma mais expressiva em áreas que atualmente são destinadas para a produção agrícola nos moldes do agronegócio. Os resultados sinalizam para prováveis consequências da exploração intensiva desse território tradicional inserido no bioma Cerrado, em especial quanto aos seus aspectos microclimáticos, com possíveis implicações sobre a vida de uma comunidade quilombola.
We present new constraints on the dark matter-induced annual modulation signal using 1.7 years of COSINE-100 data with a total exposure of 97.7 kg yr. The COSINE-100 experiment, consisting of 106 kg ...of NaI(Tl) target material, is designed to carry out a model-independent test of DAMA/LIBRA's claim of WIMP discovery by searching for the same annual modulation signal using the same NaI(Tl) target. The crystal data show a 2.7 cpd/kg/keV background rate on average in the 2-6 keV energy region of interest. Using a χ-squared minimization method we observe best fit values for modulation amplitude and phase of 0.0092±0.0067 cpd/kg/keV and 127.2±45.9 d, respectively.
The intensive use of pesticides in Brazilian agriculture is a public health issue due to contamination of the environment, food and human health poisoning. The study aimed to show the spatial ...distribution of the planted area of agricultural crops, the use of pesticides and related health problems, as a Health Surveillance strategy. We obtained data from the planted area of 21 predominant crops, indicators of the consumption of pesticides per hectare for each crop and health problems. The amount of pesticides used in the Brazilian municipalities was spatially distributed and correlated with the incidence of pesticides poisoning: acute, sub-acute and chronic. There was a predominance of soybean, corn and sugar cane crops, which together accounted for 76% of the area planted in Brazil in 2015. Some 899 million liters of pesticides were sprayed in these crops, and Mato Grosso, Paraná and Rio Grande Sul used the largest quantities, respectively. The health problems showed positive and significant correlations with pesticide use. The methodological strategy facilitated the identification of priority municipalities for Health Surveillance and the development of intersectoral actions to prevent and mitigate the impacts of pesticides on health and the environment.

Repetitive controllers (RCs) are linear control structures based on the internal model principle. This control strategy is known for its ability to control periodic reference signals, even if these ...signals have many harmonic components. Despite being a solution that results in a good performance, several parameters of the repetitive controller need to be correctly tuned to guarantee its stability. Among these parameters, one that has high impact on the system performance and stability is the finite impulse response (FIR) filter, which is usually used to increase the stability domain of RC-based controllers. In this context, this paper presents a complete tutorial for designing the zero-phase FIR filter, which is often used to stabilize control systems that use RC-based controllers. In addition, this paper presents a Matlab® application developed for performing the stability analysis of RC systems and designing its FIR filter. Simulation and experimental results of a shunt active power filter are used to validate the algorithm and the Matlab® application.

Nas academias é uma importante ...metodologia que está sendo usada para a melhora da qualidade de vida e do condicionamento físico. Porém, temos poucos estudos de revisão que analisam os efeitos do programa de treinamento funcional na qualidade de vida de idosos.OBJETIVO: O objetivo da pesquisa foi revisar os estudos que analisaram os efeitos do programa de treinamento funcional na qualidade de vida de idosos.MÉTODOS: Para a pesquisa secundária de revisão de literatura as bases de dados consultadas foram: Scholar Google, SciELO, EBSCO e PubMed. As palavras chaves utilizadas foram (programa de treinamento funcional) e qualidade de vida e idosos, (functional training program) AND quality of life AND Seniors. A pesquisa teve início em 01/02/2018 e finalizou em 31/08/2018. RESULTADOS: O resultado demonstra que o programa de treinamento funcional melhora a qualidade de vida global em idosos e a autonomia, em especial, o equilíbrio e a força, o que contribui para diminuir o risco de quedas. CONCLUSÃO: Conclui-se que o treinamento funcional melhora a autonomia e diminui o risco de queda, deste modo, contribuindo para qualidade de vida em idosos.
The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of hydrofluoric acid (HF) concentration, etching time, and application of phosphoric acid (PA) followed by neutralization with sodium ...bicarbonate on the bond strength between a feldspar ceramic and resin cement. Thus, 80 blocks (10 x 12 x 2 mm) of glass ceramic (VM - Vita Mark II - Vita Zahnfabrik) were made and randomly assigned to eight groups (n = 10) according to the factors: HF concentration (5 and 10%), etching time (60 and 120 s), and use of phosphoric acid (PA) (with and without). According to the experimental group, 37% PA (Condac, FGM) was applied after HF etching for 60s. Afterwards, samples were immersed in sodium bicarbonate for 1 min then in an ultrasonic bath in distilled water (5 min) for cleaning. After surface bonding treatment, cylinders (Ø = 2 mm; h = 2 mm) of dual resin cement (AllCem / FGM) were made in the center of each block. The samples were then stored in water (37ºC) for 90 days and submitted to the shear bond test (50 KgF, 1 mm/min). Failure analysis was performed by stereomicroscope and scanning electron microscopy. Data (MPa) were analyzed with 3-way ANOVA and Tukey's test. Only the factor "HF concentration" was significant (p = 0.02). Most failures were of cohesive in ceramic (40%) and mixed types (42.5%). The 10% HF resulted in higher shear bond strength value than the 5% HF. Surface cleaning with phosphoric acid followed by sodium bicarbonate and HF time (60 or 120 seconds) did not influence the resin bond strength to feldspar ceramic.
Resumo O uso de agrotóxicos na agricultura brasileira é um problema de saúde pública, dadas as contaminações no ambiente, em alimentos e as intoxicações na saúde humana. Objetivou-se apresentar a ...distribuição espacial da área plantada de lavouras, consumo de agrotóxicos e agravos à saúde relacionados, como estratégia de Vigilância em Saúde. Obteve-se dados de área plantada de 21 culturas predominantes, indicadores de consumo de agrotóxicos por hectare para cada cultura e agravos à saúde. Espacializou-se o consumo de agrotóxicos nos municípios brasileiros e correlacionou-se às incidências de intoxicações por agrotóxicos: aguda, subaguda e crônica. Constatou-se predomínio dos cultivos de soja, milho e cana, que juntos corresponderam a 76% da área plantada no Brasil em 2015. Pulverizou-se 899 milhões de litros de agrotóxicos nessas lavouras, com Mato Grosso, Paraná e Rio Grande Sul tendo utilizado as maiores quantidades. Os agravos à saúde apresentaram correlações positivas e significativas com o uso de agrotóxicos. A estratégia metodológica possibilitou identificar municípios prioritários para a Vigilância em Saúde e o desenvolvimento de ações intersetoriais de prevenção e mitigação dos impactos dos agrotóxicos na saúde e ambiente.
Abstract
Background
Q fever is among the top 13 global priority zoonoses, however, it is still neglected and under-reported in most of the world, including Brazil. Thus, we evaluated the ...seroprevalence of and the risk factors for Coxiella burnetii infections in humans from Minas Gerais, a highly urbanised Brazilian state.
Methods
Coxiella burnetii was searched for patient samples (n=437), which were suspected of then later confirmed as negative for dengue fever, by the indirect immunofluorescence technique and real-time PCR. Risk factors for infections and spatial clusters for both C. burnetii-seropositive individuals and livestock concentration were evaluated.
Results
We found that 21 samples (4.8%; 95% CI 3.0 to 7.2%) were reactive for at least one class of anti-C. burnetii antibodies (titer of ≥64), with rural residence (p=0.036) being a risk factor. Also, two spatial clusters of seropositivity were found within a significant area by Scan, and a probable relationship between the Scan result and the livestock concentration by area was found.
Conclusions
Seropositive individuals were associated with rural residence, with a likely relationship with the livestock concentration. Thus, this study establishes baseline figures for C. burnetii seroprevalence in humans in a state of Brazil, allowing the monitoring of trends and setting of control targets, as well as more representative longitudinal and risk analysis studies.
