Background
The global COVID‐19 pandemic has led to massive disruptions in daily life, business, education, lifestyle and economies worldwide. Nurses are a professional group who care directly for ...COVID‐19 patients and thus face direct exposure to the virus. The nurses who work on the front lines during this period put their own well‐being at risk to care for these patients.
Purpose/Aim
The aim of this study was to identify the experiences and challenges faced by nurses working in pandemic clinics in Turkey during the COVID‐19 pandemic.
Methods
This qualitative study was based on semi‐structured in‐depth interviews conducted through the mobile application Whatsapp with 19 nurses who were actively working in pandemic clinics. Due to the pandemic, the snowball sampling method was used to reach the sample group. Interviews were continued until data saturation was achieved. All interviews were audio recorded and later transcribed. The study data were interpreted according to themes identified using thematic analysis. Throughout the study, the authors followed the COREQ checklist.
Results
The experiences of nurses caring for COVID‐19 patients were summarised into five major themes: psychosocial adaptation, protection, difficulty in care and treatment, access to information and working conditions.
Conclusion
Nurses caring for COVID‐19 patients in Turkey have been affected psychologically, socially and physiologically. They experienced stigmatisation, exhaustion and burnout. One of the biggest challenges for the nurses was difficulty providing physical care and treatment due to the use of personal protective equipment. Nurses want improved compensation in addition to applause from the public. Interventions to help bolster nurses’ psychological and physiological strength are recommended.
Relevance to clinical practice
This study emphasised nurses’ psychologically, socially and physiologically affected. Therefore, improvements in financial and moral support would provide psychological reinforcement for nurses during the epidemic. Informing the public is necessary to reduce the stigmatisation of nurses working in pandemic clinics.
A Turkish artist living in Germany, Kadir "Amigo" Memiş is known for choreographies that combine street dance or breaking with traditional dances of Turkey. His story in Germany began with social ...integration problems and the trauma of losing his brother, but it continued with his adaptation to the diaspora through the medium of dance. Using thematic analysis to construct a life story based on Memiş's self-narratives, I aim to demonstrate how the artist's engagement with hip-hop culture in the diaspora helped him overcome his troubles and construct a new, artist's identity.

This prospective cross-sectional study was ...conducted with 79 patients. The study population consisted of female patients with breast cancer between August 2018 and January 2019. ''Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy Assessment Tool'' and ''EORTC C30 Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire'' were applied with four follow-ups. The study was undertaken in accordance with the STROBE checklist for cross- sectional studies.
The Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy Assessment Tool except for the general activity subdimension were statistically significant in the ratings of second, compared to first; third compared to first and second; fourth compared to first, second, and third follow-up periods. The overall mean of the EORTC C30 Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire, functioning, symptom, and global health status were statistically significant in the evaluations of second, compared with first; third compared with first and second; fourth compared with first, second, and third follow-up periods.
Findings from this study suggest that the increase in neuropathy symptoms during cures negatively affects the quality of life.
The study aimed to evaluate the Coronavirus pandemic awareness of cancer patients ≥65 years of age, considered a vulnerable group, and their hospital arrival process, follow-ups and treatments during ...the pandemic. COVID-19 pandemic was found to increases the mortality and morbidity rates of individuals who aged 65 years and older. The research was conducted with a cross-sectional descriptive correlational design. The sample consist of 77 cancer patients aged 65 years and older adult. Participants were recruited through convenience sampling. In total, 77 patients from the Oncology Hospital located in Ankara from April 29, 2020 to May 20, 2020. Data were collected using a two-part form and a questionnaire. The study was undertaken in accordance with the STROBE checklist for observational studies. Of the participants, 59.7% were female, the mean age was 70 years, 79.2% resided in Ankara and 98.7% traveled to the hospital by car. Looking at the gender and the protective measures taken at home, female participants were found to perform a statistically significant higher level of protective measures. In conclusion, the study results suggest that the restrictions for older adult oncology patients during the pandemic did not negatively affect the delivery of health care.

In this study, I reflect upon my belly dance research that I have been conducting since the last three years in three different countries and five different cities, with women having various ...experiences. To be able to analyze the effect of this research on myself as a researcher, I construct a chronological narrative which first focuses on my corporeality and my relation with dance before this research. I continue to investigate my personal experiences as dancer-researcher, dramaturg, dance student etc. in the research process without creating dualities between artistic and scientific research or corporeal and intellectual experiences. My personal experiences constitute my primary resources in this study. I also discuss some secondary sources on feminist methodology and different women’s belly dance experiences. I make an analysis on the basis of some principles of feminist methodology like situated knowledge, self-reflexivity, the focus on women’s experiences, working with women for empowerment. I also reflect upon the effect of the research on myself as the researcher, especially the change in my corporeal expression in daily life and within performance contexts. To analyze my personal experience in a wider context, I relate this change in my corporeality with academic belly dance literature which discuss other women’s belly dance experiences in various historical and geographical contexts.

sahip kadınlarla birlikte gerçekleştirdiğim oryantal dans araştırmalarımı
değerlendiriyorum. Araştırmanın ...araştırmacı olarak üzerimdeki etkisini değerlendirebilmek
için, öncelikle kronolojik bir anlatı inşa ediyor ve araştırma öncesinde
bedenselliğimi ve dansla kurduğum ilişkiyi tarihselleştiriyorum. Daha sonra araştırma
sürecinde dansçı-araştırmacı, dramaturg, dans öğrencisi vd. olarak edindiğim
kişisel deneyimleri, sanatsal ve bilimsel araştırmalar ya da bedensel ve zihinsel
deneyimler gibi ikilikler kurmadan, üstlendiğim farklı rolleri gözden geçirerek inceliyorum.
Çalışmamda, kişisel deneyimlerim birincil kaynaklarımı, feminist yöntemi tartışan
ve farklı kadınların oryantal dans deneyimlerini inceleyen araştırmalar da ikincil kaynaklarımı oluşturuyor. Değerlendirmemi, feminist yöntemin konumlandırılmış
bilgi, özdüşünümsellik, kadın deneyimlerini temel alma, kadınlarla birlikte
ve güçlenmek için çalışma gibi ilkeleri etrafında yapıyorum. Son olarak, araştırma
sürecinin araştırmacı olarak üzerimdeki etkisini analiz ediyor; gündelik hayatta
ve performans bağlamlarında bedenimle ve dansla kurduğum ilişkideki değişimi
değerlendiriyorum. Bu değişimi, farklı coğrafya ve tarihselliklerdeki başka kadınların
oryantal dans deneyimlerini tartışan akademik literatürle ilişkilendirerek, kişisel
hikâyemi daha geniş bir bağlama oturtmaya çalışıyorum.
