The Bugey 3 neutrino oscillation experiment has provided high statistics neutrino energy spectra recorded at 15 and 40 meters from a nuclear reactor core. Assuming no oscillations, the measured ...spectra favor a model of reactor spectrum based on the beta spectra measured at ILL.

It is most likely that the next generation of experiments for the study of the Ultra High-Energy Cosmic Radiation (UHECR), that is cosmic particles reaching the Earth with energies in excess of
10
19
...eV
, will consist of space-based experiments. The observation from space of the Extensive Atmospheric Showers (EAS) produced by UHECR is a big challenge, because the faint signal must be extracted from a large background by an experimental apparatus operating in space.
The requirements for the photo-detector for such a kind of space missions will be briefly discussed and the solutions adopted for the design of the photo-detector of the EUSO experiment will be presented.
We report the case of a 58-year-old man with erysipelas of both buttocks secondary to lymphoedema after pelvis surgery for prostatic cancer and multiple vascular interventions for iliofemoral thrombosis. The diagnosis was based on clinical examination and lymphoscintigraphy. This location of lymphoedema, limited to the buttocks, is uncommon; lower limbs are usually affected. This location needs a specific curative and preventive treatment, including antibiotic therapy, lymphatic drainage and contention to abate the condition andprevent a relapse.

We are building a low background detector based on a gas time projection chamber surrounded by an active anti-Compton shielding. The detector will be installed near a nuclear reactor in Bugey for the ...experimental study of

scattering. We give here a general description of the experiment, and an estimate of the expected counting rate and background. The construction of the time projection chamber is described in details. Results of first test measurements concerning the attenuation length and the spatial as well as energy resolution in the CF
4 fill gas are reported.
Cosmic rays extensive air showers (EAS) are associated with transient radio emission, which could provide an efficient new detection method of high energy cosmic rays, combining a calorimetric ...measurement with a high duty cycle. The CODALEMA experiment, installed at the Radio Observatory in Nancay, France, is investigating this phenomenon in the 10^17 eV region. One challenging point is the understanding of the radio emission mechanism. A first observation indicating a linear relation between the electric field produced and the cross product of the shower axis with the geomagnetic field direction has been presented (B. Revenu, this conference). We will present here other strong evidences for this linear relationship, and some hints on its physical origin.
The new setup of the CODALEMA experiment installed at the Radio Observatory in Nancay, France, is described. It includes broadband active dipole antennas and an extended and upgraded particle ...detector array. The latter gives access to the air shower energy, allowing us to compute the efficiency of the radio array as a function of energy. We also observe a large asymmetry in counting rates between showers coming from the North and the South in spite of the symmetry of the detector. The observed asymmetry can be interpreted as a signature of the geomagnetic origin of the air shower radio emission. A simple linear dependence of the electric field with respect to vxB is used which reproduces the angular dependencies of the number of radio events and their electric polarity.
In this paper we present the results from the measurements made with the MUNU TPC at 1bar pressure of CF4 in the energy region below 1 MeV. Electron events down to 80 keV are successfully measured. ...The electron energy and direction are reconstructed for every contained single electron above 200 keV. As test the 137Cs photopeak is reconstructed by measuring both the energy and direction of the Compton electrons in the TPC.
The multimedia information systems, in the context of a generalized communication, have to become an effective and relevant tool in the service of the social world. A first modelling of their ...conception as their realization looked in the daytime to the method of territorial intelligence Catalyse. The hypothesis founder of this research is that it is possible to translate concretely the contribution of the Sciences of information and communication in the process of methodological and technological transfer necessary for the development of Catalyse observatories, by combining them in theories stemming from the other disciplines (didactics, cognitive psychology, sociology, geography...). From the statement of a situation where SIC seem practically absent in methods of territorial intelligence, I operate in this research an empirical evaluation of the development of several Catalyse observatories: - State of the relations between the Territorial Intelligence and the Sciences of Information and Communication - Analyses of a corpus of territorial experiments at the European level - Modelling of the contributions of the Sciences of Information and the Communication in the Catalyse method and in the procedures of transfers This research succeeds concretely to propose procedures of transfer and educational tools organized in an optics of improvement of the conception of the systems of production and access to information. The procedures of transfer must be estimated and redefined in researches to come, also by taking into account evolutions of the society, and researches in Sciences of information and communication.
