In conditions of climate warming with an increase in heat waves associated with an increase in cardiovascular morbidity and mortality, the particular interest is the effect of cardiovascular drugs on ...adaptation to high temperatures. The review reflects the results of European and domestic studies on the safety of therapy during long and short heat waves. Recommendations for the correction of therapy during this period are given. Self-control of blood pressure (SCAD) is a mandatory component of the therapy of arterial hypertension during heat waves. With the development of clinically significant hypotension, a reduction in the dose of antihypertensive drugs is necessary. It is recommended to start with a dose reduction and/or withdrawal of diuretics and nitrates. Not recommended the complete abolition of antihypertensive therapy because of the risk of hypertensive crises, characteristic of abnormal heat, as well as due to the increase in blood pressure when the weather changes and the temperature drops. With increasing blood pressure during heat waves, it is recommended to give preference to calcium channel antagonists, angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE inhibitors) and selective beta-blockers. It is necessary to inform patients about the additional protective effect of statins in order to increase adherence to therapy. Patients taking diuretics require individual daily monitoring of fluid intake and body weight. An overview of recommendations on sanogenic behavior during heat waves is given. Details are considered rules for the use of air conditioning, methods of diagnosis of dehydration and drinking mode Keywords: heat waves, cardiovascular complications, preventive measures.
The detection equipment of the DANSS setup includes 2500 silicon photomultipliers and approximately 100 photomultiplier tubes (PMTs). The system of data acquisition from these photosensors is based ...on waveform digitization, with which it is possible to simultaneously obtain both amplitude and timing information. The modules of waveform digitizers (WFDs) are made to the VME standard and allow parallel digitization of 64 differential signals at a frequency of 125 MHz with a 12-bit amplitude resolution. The programmable logic of the WFDs provides production of the system trigger based on the analysis of the PMT signals and its propagation without any additional hardware. Owing to the extremely low analog noise, it is possible to use the full dynamic range of the digitization. These WFD modules are superior to other similar modules in the throughput and may find wide application to perform similar tasks of waveform digitization.
Nonmonotonic variation with collision energy (sqrts_{NN}) of the moments of the net-baryon number distribution in heavy-ion collisions, related to the correlation length and the susceptibilities of ...the system, is suggested as a signature for the quantum chromodynamics critical point. We report the first evidence of a nonmonotonic variation in the kurtosis times variance of the net-proton number (proxy for net-baryon number) distribution as a function of sqrts_{NN} with 3.1 σ significance for head-on (central) gold-on-gold (Au+Au) collisions measured solenoidal tracker at Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider. Data in noncentral Au+Au collisions and models of heavy-ion collisions without a critical point show a monotonic variation as a function of sqrts_{NN}.
The DANSS detector is located directly under the nuclear reactor at the Kalinin nuclear power plant. Such a position ensures about 50 m.w.e. shielding from cosmic rays in the vertical direction; as a ...result, the detector occupies an intermediate position between surface and underground detectors in the shielding from cosmic rays. The sensitive volume of the detector consisting of a 1-m

plastic scintillator is surrounded by the multilayer passive shielding and muon veto. The main aim of the DANSS experiment is to measure the antineutrino spectrum at various distances from the source. To this end, the detector is placed on a lifting platform in order to record data at three positions of 10.9, 11.9, and 12.9 m from the reactor core. The detector can reconstruct muon tracks passing through its sensitive volume. The pressure, temperature, and decay coefficients for muons in various regions of the zenith angle
have been determined from the muon data collected during four years using the effective generation level method.

We report the beam energy (sqrtsNN=7.7-200 GeV) and collision centrality dependence of the mean (M), standard deviation (σ), skewness (S), and kurtosis (κ) of the net-proton multiplicity ...distributions in Au+Au collisions. The measurements are carried out by the STAR experiment at midrapidity (|y|<0.5) and within the transverse momentum range 0.4<pT<0.8 GeV/c in the first phase of the Beam Energy Scan program at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider. These measurements are important for understanding the quantum chromodynamic phase diagram. The products of the moments, Sσ and κσ2, are sensitive to the correlation length of the hot and dense medium created in the collisions and are related to the ratios of baryon number susceptibilities of corresponding orders. The products of moments are found to have values significantly below the Skellam expectation and close to expectations based on independent proton and antiproton production. The measurements are compared to a transport model calculation to understand the effect of acceptance and baryon number conservation and also to a hadron resonance gas model.
The paper presents the performance studies of the scintillation detector prototype with SiPM readout using different types of the front-end electronics. The timing and position resolutions with LED ...have been obtained. These results can be applied for the proton and deuteron beams polarimetry at the Internal Target Station at Nuclotron.
